Today morning i bought Velan Hotel (BSE Code 526755) 100 quantity @ Rs.33.40 in Delivery. I realised after buying that this is T2T category stock.

I got following questions?
1. I would like to know, can i BTST (Buy today Sell Tomorrow) this stock.

2. In how much days should i expect delivery in demat?

3. Do i need to wait till this stock get into my Demat, to sell it?

PS:

1.i am holding demat & trading accnt with Religare. I mailed this to their CC, but these ppl are too dumb to answer qs instantly.
2. the stocks is in UC from last 2 days.

I am not sure what a T2T stock means .. but i will try to answer your other questions:)

1. I would like to know, can i BTST (Buy today Sell Tomorrow) this stock.

it depends on the Broker... check with your broker and see if it is available..... My guess would be NO

2. In how much days should i expect delivery in demat?

T+ 2 days

3. Do i need to wait till this stock get into my Demat, to sell it?

Yes

Hi,

T2T means trade to trade segment. Segment 'T' is BSE's nomenclature and Series 'BE' is NSE's nomenclature for this.

In this segment, you have to compulsorily take delivery if you purchase, as well as provide delivery if you have sold. Intraday square-off is not possible in these stocks. So even if you buy and sell on the same day, you will be penalized for short sale.

As far as I know, brokers do not provide BTST for these stocks, but it would be better to have to confirmed by calling your broker.

hi
I would suggest that u wait for the delivery 2 come into ur demat account bfore selling it, bcos if u recieve short delivery, u will have 2 pay a straight 20% penalty on the shares that u r not able 2 deliver.

thanks guys.....
i will wait till i see shares in my demat.....i.e. T+2.

BTW, whether stocks delivery period depends on its category...m asking coz i called my frnd whod dealer in one of broker houses....he told me it might take upto 8 days to get delivery of the stock if its in T2T cat.

is that true?
