Hi All
Does anybody have a clear idea about the MAPIN. Earlier it was mandatory for every investor trading beyond 1 lac to have MAPIN from 1 Jan 2006 but suddenly in July/August it was removed.
What is the scene now. Is it or anything which has taken its place mandatory for trading beyond 1 Jan 2006.
If I remember correctly, there is some review commitee that is looking into the implementation of MAPIN. They may do away with biometrics and may seek more data from existing UIN holders. I think I have read this in Outlook Money sometime back.
