What is Consolidation of Shares ?
can anyone tell me.

Asian Films Production & Distribution Ltd has informed BSE that the Company has fixed February 05, 2010 as the Record Date for Consolidation of Face Value from Re. 1/- per share of the Company to Rs. 10/- per share of the Company.
i have 5000 shares of it.there is no trading in this stock today and yesterday...
can anyone tell me when trading will start in this counter and what do you mean by Consolidation of Shares?

[noparse]Consolidation = summation or coalesce. It is the opposite of "split".
So since it will be consolidated in the ratio of 10:1 (new:eek:ld), 5000, will get consolidated into 500. The total worth will however remain the same.[/noparse]

total worth means?


my shares value is around Rs.2500.it will remain same and the price will open at 5?
