Shipping Corporation Of India sent a cheque?

Instead of ECS? This is the first time I have received a cheque, I get all dividends electronically (including last year from SCI). I nearly put it away (thinking it was another intimation and not a cheque). Any ideas whats going on?

I got my SCI div. by ECS yesterday.

But this business of sending cheques seems a random madness and is quite irritating :mad:

Hi Vasa, so others are affected too...
This is the first dividend I am receiving by cheque which is strange. I receive over 100 dividends by ECS each year, this is the first cheque. This is scary... again having to look through the piles of mail for cheques like the old days :(

And if the amount is small, they send it by ordinary post and there's no guarantee of getting it. The company can enjoy the float ...
