Is Oct 13 a trading holiday?

Maharashtra goes to polls on Oct 13 and the state govt. has almost issued a public holiday for people to vote. What about the exchanges?

Yup exchanges are closed......On the contrary even your local banya has to close his store else he would be fine........interesting na?

Have the exchanges put out a circular??

it has come in today's newspaper also. refer hindu business line (8.9.09)

But the circular tells holiday for settlement only(due to holiday of banks)...not for trading holiday............any one know better please .........

Oct 13th is not a Holiday. Oct 19th is only Holiday for DIWALI.

There's no trade date on Oct 13 2009 mate so we assume its a holiday.
