Problem with NSE opening price

#1
For last couple of days I am observing that there is huge difference in opening price of some scrip on NSE and BSE. opening prices of certain scrips are very wide on NSE. If you see intraday chart scrips seems to be never traded.

e.g. for 30th september

Lloyd electrical and engineering- NSE-45, 52.95,45.00, 51.80
BSE-52.70, 53,51.40,51.65

Petronet- NSE- 84.90, 84.90, 77.80, 79
BSE- 77.95, 80.75, 77.95, 79

is the problem due to difference in way the BSE and NSE calculates opening price? or what?

now this faulty opening price affects the Technical analysis, especially when exploring the security based on some criteria.

This way NSE EOD data creates nuisance.

This is not an anomaly or any problem. Its very natural. NSE and BSE are two different exchanges and traders/trades/bid/ask/ltp/volume there are not all same.

If you want to use the data for analysis, NSE data is more reliable than BSE. NSE turnover and volume is many times over BSE. I too have made blunders in analysis due to BSE data.

The Exchanges don't "calculate" opening prices. Those are traded prices only. Some freak trades occur at 'abnormal' prices which don't get reflected in charts.
