Is it necessary to save CONTRACT NOTES & MARGIN STATEMENT received daily by email from the broker. What is the usefulness of it?

Strongly advised to preserve it. It is a legal proof of transaction and profits earned or losses incurred.
Sometimes, some brokers trade in your accounts(without your permission) and if they earn profits, they take it, but if they incur losses, they will debit the loss from your account. Any such "unsolicited" trading can be found in the contract note.

Thanks a lot. Is there any other way to check or control, if the broker is trading without my permission. What is the SEBI punishment for this ?
