I THINK ONE NEWS ON GUJ ALKALI HAS BEEN TOTALLY IGNORED.the company has entered into an agreement with the central govt whereby it wud get a compensation of 40.80 crore for reducing production of carbon tetra chloride {ctc} for nonfeed stock.this transpires into 9/-per share of gujarat alk.THIS IS THE SAME CARBON CREDIT STORY WHICH HAPPENED IN SRF.SO OWN THE STOCK

well on scaterred basis yes.the reason y i m saying that is when mkts go down everything does.so may b one can wait for some correction .but then u run the chance of stock running out.if i wud have been in yor place i wud have invested at least 30% of the intended investment and thereafter on scattered basis.another srategy may b to put a stop loss and invest the amt

Don't follow the stock but it was in the papers for giving N. Modi's demand for 30% profit as donation the thumbs down.

Apparently, the postal ballot showed that shareholders voted against Modi's demand.

GACL is the first Gujarat State PSU to defy Modi. More accurately, the State didn't have the requisite "vote bank " to win the ballot .

All this doesn't mean that there isn't some better reason for GACL to be in the news.
