Big Problem while trading in NSE. ( Whose fault?)

#1
This is the Unitech script at highest point today. I had expected it today to reach 100.7 and it reached.

So , I had placed an after market order on Sunday Midnight in NSE to sell 100 units of UNITECH @ 100.50 price

On Monday , as i expected , the market reached above 100.5 and was above this level for quite a time ( approx 20 seconds ) and traded quantity is also high.

Why my order did not execute???? :(

Why will a buyer buy the script for 100.70 , when i am wiling to sell it at 100.50
Definitely NSE is at fault , or there is any strange logic??

Can any one help me out please??

Rohit,

As Far As What I Know, Orders Can Only Be Placed Once The Market Opens At 9.55 AM, Am Also Aware That Some Brokers Allow Placing Of Orders Before The Market Opens, But I Don't Think Those Orders Are Routed To The Exchange Before The Market Opens.

If An Order Has Been Placed You Will Get Confirmation Of Details From The Exchange, Till You Don't Have The Confirmation From The Exchange, Order Hasnt Been Received By The Exchange, Subsequently When Order Is Executed You Also Get Confirmation From The Exchange.

These Executed Order Are Reflected On Your Contract Note, Whereby You May Input The Relevant Details On NSE Website In 'Trade Verification' To Confirm If It Matches The Price Reflected On Your Contract Note.

:) AMO orders are sent to exchange in bunches, mostly after 10:07 am as I have seen. At least in Indiabulls this is what I have seen.

Though have heard that in sharekhan they are sent at 9:56

So, its not a problem in the NSE :) its a problem with your broker sending the order late into the market.
I checked it , they sent at 10:22
What to say yaar...
In what would have been a profit today , ended in loss.
I was under impression , that after market orders are queued in exchange immediately.....I was so wrong
Thx you for clarification

Rohit,

Quite Possibly You Can Still Take The Issue With Them, If They Have Your Order, Then They Have To Place It Into The Exchange Moment It Opens For Business, Not At 10.22

Keep All The Relevant Records & Threaten Them That You Are Going To The Grievance Cell, If They Don't Make Your Losses Good.
