Ceat
Seen lots of consolidation in last 2 months.
Good fundamentals.
Test 80.25 third time on monday - very strong support.
trading at very low volume.
lots of trucks damaged their tyres in rain
keep watch.

Hi vivenan,

The stock is definitely in a clear down trend since early June, and where it is trading now at 80, has no support till the 75 mark. It has to cross the 90 mark for any buy indication, and I don't see this happening in the near term, as I see no visible sign of stablity either.
On the fundamental front, while the company has shown slight increase in earnings over the last two quarters, in relation to the numbers from the corresponding quarter last year, they are in losses.
My advise is to keep off for now, till at least towards the end of the current quarter.

Hi vivek,
CEAT was beautiful pattern till June, nice consolidation, sitting on the 10 EMA,.....but with that breakdown ,CEAT is now sitting below the 10 and 20 EMA,with the danger of the 10 ema cutting that 20 ema.....Frankly feel that CEAT can go either way from here.Let it give us the Buy Signal....would prefer if some vol can push this stock to the 88-90 levels, then only worth putting your money on this one.At present,Vivek,.....wait n watch!!

All the best!!
Happy Trading!!
Saint

PS:If I were a gambling type,I would bet that ceat is going lower from here to its next support level before going up

Hi everyone,
Just a few updates.....long term trading can be tiresome in the sense that the gains are not immediate, you don't to get to ring your cash registers frequently, you see a whole lot of paper gains but desperately try to resist the temptation ,you see your account up big time, and yet you know that you risk them all in the bid to stay with the trend. It can be frustrating.....you feel,"I was up 20k or 30k,why didn't I take the profits and run."....Well,simply put,the answer to that one is"The trend hasn't changed!!"The beauty is that gains are huge, the trade more fulfilling as you realise that you caught a big chunk of the move, you stay away from all the noise of the market, wealth is allowed to grow.....and at the end of the year, compounded again and again....while income is earned by short term trading.

Hi Saint,
That is the pro and con of long term trading........if this trend holds up despite all its corrections, then we laughing all the way to the bank .U R right....all this time, and after so much of paper gains,we r at breakeven with the possibility of coming out with no loss or gain.....but that is part of the game.

We are in profits for quite a few......great going, friend, and keep em comin!!

Phoenix

PS:Please give some short term trading calls as well.I get a lot of super calls from Amit.Would be interesting to have more.....
