Hi,

Most Of The Members Here Knows SavantJi And What He Talks About i.e. CrossOvers And BB. Inspite Great Helping Hand From Him, Beginner (Like Me) Face Difficulties When We Actually Trade With Them. So Here Is Initiative From Prasadam To Help To Trade With CrossOver And BB.

Prasadam I Think First We Should First Start With Day Trading And Gradually Move On To Positional Trade. I Would Be Summerising The Discussion Until We Get Hand Over The Trading With CrossOver And BB.

All The Fellow Members Are Heartly Invited For Guidance, Suggestions, Feedbacks About This Thread. Especially I Request SavantJi To Keep His Eagle Eyes Very Close On This Thread.

Thanks.:)

Adding Latest Post, I Think It's Important To Place It Here:-

Wow!!! Lots Of Discussions Going On Great!!! Welcome & Thanks To Each And EveryOne For Participating In Discussion.

I Want To Talk Few Points:-

I See Still Direction Of This Thread Is Not Clear. There Must Be Lot Of Questions In SubConscious Mind Of Each And Every One Like:

- Is It About Stocks Or F&O Instrument?
- Is It For Intraday Or Positional Trading?

Answer Is Very Simple "No Matter Which Instrument You Use Or Which TimeFrame You Choose- Crossover Remains Crossover And BB Remains BB."

I Kindly Request All Members Who Are New To CrossOver And BB, To First Go Through MotherThreads :-

For Stocks - http://www.traderji.com/equities/10035-stocks-keep-close-eye.html
For Nifty - http://www.traderji.com/day-trading/9110-nifty-intraday-pivot-points.html
For BankNifty - http://www.traderji.com/day-trading/23988-banknifty-intraday-pivot-points.html

Please Ask Questions To SavantJi And Senior Members Over There To Make Your Self Clear, Then Come To This Thread.

Again Question Comes Up Why This Thread If We Have Mother Threads?
-> MotherThreads Are About- How To Trade With CrossOver And BB
Whereas This Baby Thread About- Real Trades In Action With CrossOver And BB. Other Way Round "MotherThread Is About Understanding Strategy And BabyThread Is About Playing With That Strategy."

So This Thread Is About Creating Action Plan For Our Trading And Most Important Trading With It:

-Choosing TimeFrame
-Picking Right Values For CrossOver And BB
-Fine Tuning Entries, Exits, Stop Losses, Re-Entry, SAR (Stop And Reverse)

I Know This Is Going To Be Huge, But Let Us Go Ahead And Hope For The Best!!! Like Saying 'Rome Was Not Built In A Day' It Will Take Little Time But I'm Pretty Sure Not Much.

First Goal: Let Us Observe How Prasadam Do Intraday Trading With Crossovers And Yes He Is Doing That In F&O Segment. Once We Get Familiar With It We Would Be Discussing How We Can Implement It To Intraday Trading In Stocks. So At The End We Will Have Action Plans For "Day Trading In Stocks And F&O."

Thanks.:)

After a looong wait.

Hi Prasad,

Very Good Idea, Infact I Was Also Contemplating The Same But Thought Of Doing It Once Workings Was In Place.

I Think, Will Start A New Thread Today Itself In The Evening.

You Guys Decide On What Would Be A Suitable Title For The Thread.
Will Go By Whatever You Guys Decide, Only Thing To Keep In Mind Is My Name Will Not Be Part Of The Title.

Thanks A Ton

Actually Prasadam And Me Started Discussing Things In "Keep A Close Eye On..." Thread. But Since It's For Positional Trade In Stocks, We Are Moving Discussion In This Thread. Here Is Summary What We Have Discussed So Far For Day Trading:-

1. Hello Prasadam. Do You Day Trade In Stocks With SavantJi's Method? SavantJi Mentioned Few Days Ago That You'r Getting Good Results In Day Trading With His Method.

hello Doc saab.

I am trading Nifty Futures only( not stocks) using 4&5 MA cross over on 15 min. TF. for intraday and on 60min. TF for positional trade. no other indicators.

and the results are really excellent.
2. Hi, Will You Please Explain How You Trade With 15 Min Charts? May Be That Can Help Me With Stocks... I Know That Is Broad Question But I Will Keep As It Is... Because I Will Like To Listen As Much As Possibe From You.

Doc. saab.

actually I am not trading for the past 2 weeks as I was on tour till yesterday.
will join you all in trading from thursday.

I have marked the likely trades in the chart attached. real time time trading will be a little bit different.

The strategy I follow is simple. 1)Entry after completion of one bar after crossover. i.e., if crossover happens at 10.00 to 10.30 bar, entry should be after 11.00 am to avoid possible whipsaw. 2) carry on the position till next crossover where I will reverse the position(SAR) or till 3.15 when I will close the position. 3. long at 3365 ( 12.15 bar opening)and
4. SAR @ 3395 (2.30 bar opening)

3. Hi prasadam, Which trf and moving filter r using in abv chart? - VJAY

4&5 SMA on 15 min.

hope I am clear

Hi docvijay4u,

Thanks for the new thread.I also faced similar situation. We started discussing
about BB in Savant's "Pivot points......." thread, which made SAVANT to post
his regular PIVOT POINTS again and again. So I started BollingerBands thread
to keep his thread IN TACT.

Hi Docvijay,

Thanks for starting thread which will help people like me realy wants to know more about cross over and bb which showed by Savant Sir.

My quastion belongs to both savant sir and Docvijya is this cross over of 5&6 SMA we can use it for EOD data or is it more suits only for intra day data's like (5 Min, 10 Min and 15 min)
so is it good for equities becouse I have only EOD data with for trading.

your valuable advice will be highly apriciated

Best regards

Hi Balram,

It Has Nothing To Do It With The Colour Of The Bar Only The Crossover, Also You Might Be Confused Because The 3 Charts Are In Parts Where Yesterdays Crossover Is Also Shown

I Thought You Wanted To Be A Short Term Investor.....:)

hello balram.

I think you are referring to "sold @ 1723 - around 3-20 pm".

The reason is simple.

since it is intra day trade, we have to close our position before 3.30 pm.

hope I am clear.

The trades are like this.

1. buy @ 1728. - one lot
2. sell @ 1721 - two lots. ( carrying 1 short and a loss of 7 points)
3. buy @ 1708- two lots . ( carrying one long and a net profit of 6 points((1721-1708)- 7)
4. sold @ 1723 - one lot. ( no positions and a net profit on 15+6 = 21 points.

prasad.
3.
