To just see how the website works, I bought 5 shares by using the "Buy" button located in the front page of the site. I observed that if I wish to sell a few shares of what I bought on the very same day, the system sells it at the last traded price. But when I tried to sell the share on the next day, it is saying that
" Insufficient balance in the demat account. Please allocate shares for trading."

i have tried the demat allocation button but it does not show me any shares to allocate.... just wondering what is wrong with this thing.... i also activated the auto allocation stuff.... but it it say the same thing... can some one help me with this

Hi,

In normal trading in ICICI, Delivery of shares takes two working days to come into ur account. So u can allocated only after it is done.

hallo,

You can sell shares using BTST facility of ICICI. Pls add minimum 2% in your purchase cost, which is for brokerage of ICICI.

thanks guys ... that was helpful....

TO KRM: i have tried to use the BTST facility but under the column "maximum quantity permitted" as NA... so i cannot sell there too.... i think u have to buy the shares using BTST to sell them using the same..... what say?

Also u advised me to add a minimum of 2% in your purchase cost, which is the Brokerage of ICICI..... what does that mean?

Thanks.

Dear friend,
Sorry for late reply.
ICICI charges nearly 1% on each side that I was trying to say for calculation of your share cost. For selling before getting delivery, try security projection link on your trading page there you should get the settlement and shares which you can sell.
