With the Wipro AGM on 29th June, where the BODs will decide the Record Date for the 1:1 Bonus, I guess it would be logical to say that the Wipro stock would go up considerably between now and the 29th of June. This would make it a good opportunity for daily punters to cash in, and for others to benefit from the bonus.
The important question is by how much will the Wipro stock shoot up? If it shoots up too much, lets say to the levels of its 52 week high of 1675/- (NSE), then a whole new line of thought opens up. Here, the owner of Wipro shares could think about selling out just before the record date of the bonus. The rationale would be that after the bonus is distributed, mass-scale selling would drive down the price immediately to current levels, thus making the overall profit higher for a sale just before the bonus..... Maybe what I'm imagining here is all non-sense..... Anyways, thought I'd just share my thoughts. Regards, Uday. |

Hi UDAY,
I am sorry to say,but u r really imagining too much. The 52 week high of 1675 which u have quoted, has been before the stock split of WIPRO--WIth a good market, and with all ur stated conditions---I would expect a 850 level at most----,Remember it can decrease also when the market in between may give a certain turn around--- Regards, joy_mitali |
