How many stocks to watch and trade during the day?

Dear all

I see charts of 16 stocks (4 in a page). These charts have Pivot values along with Yday's High, Low and Close plotted on it.

I also see Charts of Nifty, BankNifty, CNXIT and Midcap50 for direction and trend.

I dont use any indicator or Volume.

I feel that iam not able to concentrate and trade effectively...dont know whether iam overloading myself with so many charts and stuffs... Just wanted some kind hearted persons to suggest me....

1. How many stocks one can effectively track intraday.....any one plz put in ur experience with reasons, how many charts u track, how many u trade etc etc which would be of immense help to me

2. What indicator to use for direction, trend etc.

You don't have to use many stocks to make money.. If you are new to trading then just focus on 1 chart (say NIFTY futures or any other liquid stock) everyday and form your trading strategy on this single chart. . If you can't make money with 1 scrip, there is no way you can make money with 16 scrips.
It is important to get the basics right.. and it is not easy journey in the initial days.

All indicators work and they give results.. but there are times when they don't work.. Before indicators, if you can understand the price action / pivot high and pivot low concept then that should help you to a large extent. Do go thru to "60min flow.." / "teach a man to fish..." threads in this forum. They can help setting very strong foundation of your trading.

1.Trade only Nifty-50 stocks to avoid over lose
2.If you need except 50 stocks , trade only in F&O stocks to avoid upper/lower freeze.

I know this question is very much subjective, i would still like to know how each one is tracking stocks and trade.

AW10 - I normally dont trade in NF and i trade usually index stocks. I have been trading for 1 yr now without much losses. I still feel that we can make more by tweeking the system here and there and hence ur valuable suggestions would help.
