Hello,
I have 2 question which may sound silly to many. If I sell a stock from my DP and buy it later the same day, can it be called an Intraday trade? What makes the share value to move up or down on an exchange. I know it is the demand and supply, but what exactly causes the share value to move? Is is based on the last executed trade for that stock. Thanks Sebby |

1. Yes
2. some find still more value in the share & some believe this is the right value or want to book profit / loss at a certain level so the demand & supply hence the up down |

Thank you for the answers.
Let me rephrase my 2nd question, Let us say the market price of IFCI is 43.25. If I want to buy the share at any cost, and if no one wishes to sell it, what will be the stock price at the end of Day? Thanks! |

When You Have Only Buyers & No Sellers That Is When A Stock Is Said To Have Hit The Upper Circuit.
Since IFCI Is Also Traded As Derivatives, Exchange Might Put A Circuit In Abnormal Price Movement, Stocks Which Are Traded In Derivatives Do Not Have Circuits or Price Bands Are At Times Determined By The Exchange. For All Other Scrips That Are Not Traded In The Derivatives Segment Have Upper & Lower Circuits Of 20%, 15%, 10% & 5%....May Also Have Lower Than 5% In Some Cases Hope This Answers Your Basic Question Happy & Safe Investing SavantGarde Last edited by SavantGarde; 30th July 2008 at 02:50 AM. |
