Market outlook (Nifty@6000) and stock ideas
It seems like the target of 5300 on the NIFTY shall be achieved if the momentum persists.
5370-5400 is a big supply zone and I'd recommend booking partial profits above 5300 levels (atleast 30-50% of your profits). Infact on a detailed analysis, I see a NIFTY move back to 6000 in next 1-2 months. So one can add fresh longs once 5400 is crossed on the upside. At the same time, we have to look at our downside for which I shall keep 4950-5000 as the key level . Below that I suspect a move back to 4450 and lower (and confirmation of a bear phase) So its better to play on the long side until proved wrong. Stock specific: In large caps: Look at Reliance Inds(next target 2700 and 2800), RPL ( 212 and 220),HDFC(2900 and 3000), HDFC Bank, Wipro(525 and 550),. ICICI bank is also looking good (Buy above 950 for target of 1000-1010) and so is Bank of India(385-390 is the next target). On all these stocks keep a 3-5% stop losses and ride for 5-8% gains in short term. Infosys ( Go short around 1850). This a countertrend trade. Hero Honda is another stock showing strong momentum. One can go long keeping atop around 800 for a target of 900 and 940. For short term trading, one can look at GAIL with a stop at 435 for a target of 460. L&T above 3180-3200 can bounce back to 3400. A stop at 3050-3100 is advised. In mid caps- Look at construction stocks like JP associates, Punj Lloyd, GMR infra. Expect a 8-10% bounces in these if markets stay firm. For those who want to trade low priced scrips, I can advise two- Buy VISA Steel with a stop at 47.5 for a target of 53 and 56. Buy Ashok Leyland with stop at 41 and target of 46. Markets might turn volatile around 5350-5400, so keep your risks in control.Remember not to get carried away. - SageCapital
