Hi All,
Sorry Guys, maybe this question was already answered but I was not able to find it. I am a newbie to trading and just received my icicdirect account. Mistakenly or say inadvertently, I bought some shares under BTST. Now I just want to whether it is neccessary to sell these within T+2 days. What would happen if I wont sell them next 3 days?Actually, I want to hold on to these. Also how can one purchase shares normally that are under BTST.? Are any extra brokerage burdened on me for BTST. |

As far as I Know, One can buy Cash or Margin or MarginPlus, but not BTST. There is no such thing as BTST Buy. BTST is a facility to Sell Scrips bought in Cash without receiving Delivery.

BTST = Buy today sell tomorrow,
usually this helps in futures not in cash market cuz of brokerage charges, but some companies allowed to do so in cash market too, so 1st u need to know whether your brokerage house allows to do so or not ? |

Brokerage Charges Are Same to CASH And BTST.
For Sale of BTST security you can go to Security Projection, there is hyperlink for Sale, next is as normal sale Order. So You Can Hold it. |
