I cant advice you on your money. but can tell you that i drained all my bank money and bought reliance at 2211 and rpl at 120. i would have bought any of the index shares if i had more money with me.

some others you could look at are welspun guj, punj lloyd,j p asso, gmr infra, reliance capital, sesa goa, aban offshore ...the list can just go on and on...
from your list i would avoid mtnl ...
also buy in small quantities and avoid chasing stocks if they move out of your buy range...

Have we ever made a small study, before each earlier fall ,there was always few Leader & few Laggards which has Lead the preceeding rally, does all those Leaders being able to retain their respective position in the next rally,if not then do individual chart becomes imp.
All the stocks mentioned above ,can we say that all of those can scale their earlier highs.if not then which ones are doubt full & why.If we dont have the answers then a equal distribution of money or other methods to distribute the risk element would not be more prudent along with dividing the entire corpus some % now & preserving some % for more downside ,so as to tackle risk more efficiently.

perfect sir ..in addition to that.. after seeing all the drama..wont u suggest to hold and wait for a clear signal? Artificial liquidity has been created....will it solve the problem? if not then why should we buy at this market?

ppl says all of a sudden fundamental doesnt change...but did we have the fundamental in place to reach so high?

Dow is still under pressure..except Brazil is happy with 4.33% up but it doesnt give any signal ( does it? )?

I am looking for answer to these questions....which will help me to take next action tomorrow.

till now I think...every bounce back should be taken as an opportunity to sell !!

Nitin

Absolutely. Only a few, if any, can buy at the absolute bottom or sell at the absolute top. However, not prudent to put in more than 20-25% at this stage.

And i may add there can be 2 strategies - 1) accumulate for the intermediate term 2) Trade very short term - preferably intraday - better to avoid overnight risks at this stage.

While accumulating, 1)seek a good short term support 2) avoid the so-called momentum stocks for now (There's a time to play in such stocks, but not now) In other words go for a RIL rather than a RNRL.

Regards,
Kalyan.

Uasish,

thanks for your post. I know we can't decide bottom AND distributing money in diff stocks don't serve purpose in this volatile market. However my intentions are clear that i don not want money back soon. I can keep it in stock for few months/years.

I missed the train when i had money but was lazy to open account and do trading. now i got everything straight, i was waiting for fall and it just happened. So i am just want to get along with 30% cash reserved for future trading. The only reason i am just ditributing is that i do not want more than 7 - 8 % of my portfolio in single company. It may not make sense but thats what I want.

Ofcourse if i make enough profit ( I will be more than satisfied with 25% profit) then I will just sell few shares and keep more cash ready. I am just novice and not expert like you. So thanks a lot for advice.
