Hello sir

I have no idea about stocks and derivatives. My friend working at one stock broker, he advised to me invest some amount in stocks. I am a small invester , I have no idea about stock markets. Where I invest? Which stock is best ? How long I hold? My investment range is between 25000-30000 only. So pls advise to me,

Hi,
As of now please dont buy ANYTHING for long-term or midterm.
Correction is a natural part of the market. It has to come, but when it would come is a different issue.
At significant correction, i will PM you to buy few fundamentally very strong stocks and technically their right time to buy.

1.cn u tell me an idea of oversubscription of reliance ipo if u hv?
2. cn u see major correction on index level in this week?
3. a big fallin it stocks?
4.is it safe to play in rpl ?
5. in past market has nt shown major -ve sentiment on dow fall, do u think this trend may break on monday?

Hi,
1. oversubscription implies a situation in which the demand for an initial public offering of securities exceeds the number of shares issued.

2. Yesterday, dow and nasdaq have confirmed Bearish triangles. Also see the Asian peers down by 2-6%. This week markets could be under deep pressure.

3. Perhaps.

4. RPL has made buy set up. According to my system, Buy signal has yet to come.

5 Trend does not change on a single day basis. We have to wait for severeal days to confirm a reversal in trend for the short term.

my query & logic behind over subscription of reliance ipo is-
ipo value-11000crore (appx)
suppose if it will oversubscribe by 10 times i.e
11000*10=110000crore (this money has to cm frm market.
so why market shud nt see downfall of 500-700 points?
ur suggestions plz

your logic is right! But, if suppose there were other FII's or big Bees want more shares and they did not get it, they could bid the quotes even higher on market opening and propelling the prices. If suppose all big bees are satisfied or not wanting the stock on IPO opening due to whatever reason , and there would be more selling pressure then the stock could react!

this is my limited understanding for IPO's, correct me if i am wrong.

no,
i m nt questioning the value of reliance power, i was trying to point that before big ipo there is some money which people removed frmtheir stocks & invest in ipo, due to which market cracks, bt after ipo opens usually market gains due to that sentiments, refunding unlisted money again cmin circulation.
& big point is that at this time people hv very much craze on this ipo.
ur suggestions plz........

Dear Winstonn,
After the consolidation till Thurday, nice breakout given by the market on friday.
So market breath is possitive untill.
Now considering the fall in US,Japan & other asian market, we will correct but only the extent will be less. So monday will be very important day which will decide the market direction . if we do not correct majorly( Nifty 6000) , then before JAN Exp., we will able to see 21430 .
looking for ur views.

Hi Prashwin,

i am basically a system based trader. I really dont have any opinion about market and then trade. I basically look for signals. Eg. I would buy LT for swing trade on monday at lower levels whtever the market says!

But, if u ask me the genereal opinion, then the markets could shake on monday! but one day change does not dictate change in trend.

Also DOW and NASDAQ have broken the bearish triangles coupled with some bad news!
Overall there would be pressure on indices in coming days!
