ok. now to TA.
sensex has a support at 18450, correspondingly nifty 5520.
a definite pullback from these levels will happen.
if these levels do not hold depending upon then world indices,
major support is at 17170 only (5000 in nifty), which was the low made on oct 22 '07.
so 17 k mentioned was not ambiguous number or prediction.
i just a gave a one-line reply to the prev post.

pl note, except sensex and shangai index , major world indices are trading below their 200 dma.

currently 18450 (5520) seems to be the bottom.
friend , its a very futile excercise 2 predict of what may happen the nxt moment.....
if index goes below this , then this & if it breaks this then this....
but what should a layman do ???
he is the most confused man on the street...
if he waits fof the last tgts to exit , he will b wiped off...
a technical guy especially on the cartoon network channels always speaks with double mouth.....
if index breaks 20dma , it will take supp @ 50dma , if it breaks it then 100 & so on......again he will tell if on the upper side if it breaks this then this.....
analyse the past , ride the present & the future is taken care of automatically.....
till sensex holds 18975 on close....no problem for bulls.....

It seems my post has hurt your feelings,it was not intended to question your TA for 18450 level,Index may or may not take support on that zone or in that matter it may take support few 100 points above or below that.
My post was intended only to get the bottoming in a higher time frame
chart confirmation ,before any commitment ,so as to be on safer side with a defined Stop Loss.We do not FIX any level ,rather watch the Price movement closely.

Oops ... missed out on a not-so-feeble spprt at 18700-18750. Also 18900 hasn't been broken yet. So that makes below 18700 a levl for fresh shorts. Ashishda what say?

Kalyan.

so final brust was horrible what next is what every one is asking? but its was expected and a part of game end of one bull cycle and get ready for another.
1. Lot of overvalued high flying zone being grounded
2. dumb money is lost. smart money was doubled
3. Few who burn had in this crash would run away from the market
4. It will take some time to settle but the things will settle down

And the good news is get ready to another rally which will start during this year end.

I am on shopping as big brands are now on 20% discaounts. Haha. don't hurry might be the discount will increase. March end sale would be another option so keep shopping.

This is really painfull & disastarous for Retail guys ,like us.Few of my known people are Stuck.Today though being the biggest fall but the 17th May 2004 is according to me the biggest fall ,becoz then Nifty was at 1500.
Lost substantially on that day, becoz of my holdings where on Leverage & we did'nt had the Net transfer facility, however could make good some of that loss by Buying next day & Indiabulls allowed that on Chq. deposit.

yes....its very painful because what a retail guy makes tit bit buying spread over few months , vanishes into thin air in just a week....
because when when one wants 2 sell , everyone follows on the same day but for buying , its accor to ones financial position.
till sensex closes abv 18475...no hopes for bulls....but thats what mirrors r all abt...

There was clear bearish divergence in index charts, but it was not evident in individual stocks, all momentum indicators were showing higher readings, now the crash, what inference can we draw ?
