Hi Guys ,,, I want to create a long position in the banking sector as I am bullish on this space and am not sure which wld be the best pick among them ,,, I want to buy one lot in the futures which has a relatively low margin ,,,

I have zeroed in on Axis bank and Bank Nifty as my preferred options which fit my criteria,,,,

Pls advice as to which wld be the better option ,,, thnx

technically....AXIS BANK is a hold as of now...only a close below 795 will ulter the bullish outlook.

AXIS BANK....CLOSE :973 (BSE)

as u r planning to enter this sector NOW....it would b advisable to deploy half of ur sector fund & that too 50/50 in both .
TECHNICALLY , AXIS BANK gave a buy way back @ 612 bse close on 29/8/07...it has run up quite significantly...though there may still b more steam left...but as u have missed a major rally.....hence the abv rec from here....
