Thank you guys for your responses. Honestly thanks

The idea I had in mind was to help people in whatever way I could be in investments or queries. I have a lot of sections on the website something like :

- An excel section which will feature a sheet which downloads live data using excel for all NIFTY 50 stocks at an interval of 1 minute or less.. or lemme say every 1 min with exact rates for that minute, also something like asset allocator, portfolio manager with tax calci, f & o risk calci, position sizing.etc. These sheets are simple but they are really cumbersome to design if one does not have the functionoing knowledge about excel.

- A dummy portfolio which people can replicate to generate returns.. helpful for newbies who do not know when to buy what to buy.etc. This would not be like live calls where 10's of calls confuse a person. Design a portfolio stick with it, every 3 months keep churning so that people learn why stocks were picked, why sold. It will basically teach them what we all learnt in ages.

- An Investment School as I mentioned earlier which would teach people something from forex to bonds, Stocks to commodities, mf's to hedge funds. anything and every financial instrument on earth. Every section has its own mentors which teach people... design courses and then evaluate persons feedback.etc

- A helpdesk which can cater to all your queries

.............. and tons of other stuff..

What I have in mind is to hold a new born's hand till the time he starts running and then he moves onto forums like traderji so that he practises and sharps his running skills. I really respect the whole forum culture and idea.. but I really want a person to be fully capable to dwel into and understand that vast knowledge which forums offer at one go. This is exactly like when we started young and there was hardly anyone to help us walk. Some of us were fortunate to have mentors which taught us Mother Markets... but not all of us were that lucky. So why is there that differentiation.

Guys, pardon me but I am not being greedy or anything but what I want to do is one a very vast scale which you guys must have imagined.. i already have the website infrastructe ready all applications set, ischool, webmails, mailing lists, helpdesk.etc... now the most crucial task of content builiding starts for me which will take me another 3 months because the applicaitons that I have on are not simple they are just a kind of virtual school something like blackboard software....

Would anyone be willing to join hands with me.. because this is the community where thousands of investment savy people interact to help each other !! You can help me with anything become a mentor for a subject, design some excels if you have that skill, look after general portal management and get all admin rights, anything... virtually anything. This would be a total team effort and you would be working with others in our team.... But there is a catch I am sorry I cant pay you anything other that self satisfaction... I dont need a penny from you but your dedication towards the team goal. and you do not have to spend too much time just something like 5-6 hours a week initially and once the courses are live then there would be no hassle just routine questions and keeping your courses updated. I am not trying to cheat anyone I dont want to steal your work/articles/resources all courses carry a copyright on your name you will there in the about us section of the portal.

Guys I am open to any and all sugesstions but please keep them coming.

-Thanks

Karan there are a lot of subjects and under each subject there is a first chapter.. so you want to know the chapter name for which one... forex, bonds, commodities, equities, mutual funds, hedge funds, TA, FA..etc ???

Although most of them are just plain topics without any content built in.. but as I said I promise to fill all those up within the next three months for sure...

Regarding my website URL i am getting a lot of PM's requesting me to spell it out but unless traderji allows that I can't I am sorry for this I really can't... hey one more thing anyone willing to write those chaps in their own style using the software tools on board are welcome !! Anyone who has the flair to write/educate may please PM or post on this board.

But why should everyone suffer the same. Yes they will learn searching skills but that time could be put to use more productively.... I agree there are indeed a lot of institutions out there who will be willing to teach at a cost but in the end that money ny website or anyone I just want to say thankyou to eveyone...
You know how I started- Reading the news papers financial column. That too todays market information received on next day market close!

I was just 12 years old then and was noting down the price of the scrips in a note book. That time my watch list was Pfizer,Telco,Federal Bank, and two others...

The scenario now changed. We have excel sheets, we have all the information.

But till 3 months ago nobody wanted to open a trading account for me! I had the desire...But I dont had the "QUALIFICATION"!!!(Age wise and money wise)

Good luck with you virtual university!

Sorry guys couldn't come back to this forum... was busy setting up my portal. Guess what I am so happy.. I am expanding our team like anything now... I was the only one out there working all day long when I started but now it is me along with 3 others and also a tie up which I can't disclose at this stage... Finally my dream is coming alive.. thank GOD !!

Guys I agree that book is 700 pages but this is the whole point of a learning community... you dont have to read all that outdated stuff. I know that is all the stuff I read to be knowledgeable... but nonetheless I had no other choice. Anyways I can give you tons of information and almost all sorts of books but trust me you will start downloading them like crazy but you will not end up finishing even two or three properly.... we are all humans afterall

Anyways you guys can mail me at xxxxxxxxxxxx, any queries you guys have or anything that you want to share. The portal address is xxxxxxxxx. Please note I am not giving my email directly because of a recent note by traderji not to share mail addresses.

As a token of my appreciation please download the Live Stock Quotes Updater sheet that we have live on the portal. How should you go about it is still a mystery Search on surely you will find loads of information on portal to help you. Please note that the website is still underconstruction and majority of the stuff is still not online... so please bear with me. Anyone of you who thinks he has it in him to train and teach people and become a mentor please get in touch.

P.S. I would again request the mods and traderji in particular that if there is anything objectionable in the posts please feel free to remove it.
