Who should trade in these situations? Do we have anyone else apart from BULLS and BEARS who can invest/trade at these levels?

Broader decline likely today...............

European markets rallied strongly last night, and the US indices also finished with gains after swinging both ways. However, Asian markets are deep in the red this morning, and the global short-term trend is down once again. We can expect a broader decline today, with the mid-caps finally starting to fall yesterday....

The market's breadth was poor, with declines outnumbering advances 1.02 times on the BSE, and 1.24 times on the NSE. The volume in advancing issues was 52.2% (82.7%) on the BSE, and 49.7% (81.5%) on the NSE, while that in declining ones was 40.2% (17.0%) on the BSE, and 50.0% (18.5%) on the NSE.

The number of Hotline stocks at 200-day highs fell from 59 to 17, while the number at 200-day lows remained one. The number at 5-day highs fell from 130 to 42, while the number of at 5-day lows rose from 14 to 64. The 240 stocks averaged a loss of 1.71%.

The CNX Midcap index is in an intermediate uptrend, and made a new intra-day all-time high before reversing yesterday.

The main indices are in downtrends. The sensex has to cLOSE abv 20025 to reatart an intermediate uptrend...
The downtrend started from the sensex's October 30 high of 20,238. The low of the downtrend has been 18,333, which the sensex dipped to on Nov 12. The loss at that level is 1,905 points, a 29.5% retracement of the 6,458 points it gained during the preceding uptrend.

The major trend of SRF turned up yesterday.

The sporadic rallies have failed to lift global markets back into intermediate uptrends. Most have made fresh downtrend lows recently, and an immediate uptrend looks unlikely.

The Nikkei and London’s FTSE-100 are in major downtrends, while most of the others remain in major uptrends for now. However, quite a few indices (particularly from Europe) have lower intermediate tops now.

The FIIs sold $6.7 million of stocks on Monday, and are averaging daily purchases of $87.1 million over the last five sessions. The MF figure has not been released for three days. They were buying at a rate of $14.3 million until then.

European markets rallied strongly last night, and the US indices also finished with gains after swinging both ways. However, Asian markets are deep in the red this morning, and the global short-term trend is down once again. we can expect a broader decline today, with the mid-caps finally starting to fall yesterday.

Most global indices are in intermediate downtrends. Most major trends are still up, but a few could turn down now.

The Dow rose 51.70 points (0.40%) to 13,010.14, and the NASDAQ composite went up 3.43 points (0.13%) to 2,596.81. ....

Markets end in deep red; inline with rest of Asia

It was an extremely weak session for equity markets across the globe. Joining the bandwagon were the Indian markets which closed near the lowest point of the day. There was no outperformance by Indian markets and the fall was inline with rest of the Asia. It was the fourth largest single day point fall for Sensex.

The European markets have opened in red CAC was down 1.7%, FTSE down 1.6% and DAX down 1.4%.

Even the midcaps and smallcaps took it on their chin today. It was large scale equity sell off across markets and sectors.

The worst hit index is bankex which has seen a sharp run up in the past few sessions followed by metal, capital goods and power. The sector that is least hit is the IT index on hopes that rupee may not appreciate further against the dollar. The rupee was trading weak at 39.385 against the dollar.

The breadth was extremely negative with eight declines for every one advance.

ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Maruti, NTPC, L&T, Hindalco, BHEL, GAIL, HPCL, Tata Power were among the top fronline laggards.

Midcap momentum stocks saw good correction for instance Chambal Fetilisers, Triveni Eng and Essar Oil and Gujarat Narmada, WWIL, Nirma.

Crude saw an all time high of USD 99.20 and is currently USD 98.93 eyeing the USD 100 mark.

On the primary market front, Religare Enterprises got listed on the bourses today at Rs 324 versus its issue price of Rs 185. ............

Many short-term players view trading as a form of gambling. Without planning or discipline, they throw money at the market. The occasional big score reinforces this easy money attitude but sets them up for ultimate failure. Without defensive rules, insiders easily feed off these losers and send them off to other hobbies..........

20025 now is looking even more elusive than it was ystrday......bulls ....dont forget it as of now....mkts have shaved 1800 pts from history.....sentiment could weaken further .........it seems so.....:conf

Not totally. Should start in red but if it falls heavily(like today) it should bounce back in green otherwise a weak red ending. lets see.
