Market ends with monster gains: Sensex up 900 pts......

The markets ended with monster gains on heavy buying in scrips across sectors. Sensex has gained over 900 points and Nifty has scored over a double century and was up over 250 points. It was the biggest single day absolute gain for Sensex. The cues from global markets have been robust with Asia closing higher and Europe opening strong.

Oil & gas, capital good, metal and banking stocks continue to be in the limelight today. Broader markets have also participated in the uptrend but the frontliners outperformed the midcap and smallcap indices. BSE Midcap index was up over 2% and the smallcap index was up over 2.4%.

ICICI Bank surged over 9%, Wipro and Hindalco were up over 7% followed by HDFC, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, Rel Petro and PNB....
Hi

Question Re: Bulls, Reenter Abv 20025 Close

bulls.....20025....remember ??? told again to exit.....wait till close today.....D DAY TODAY.....MAKE OR BREAK ???? 20025 will decide....

European markets improved last night, with varying degrees of gains, while the US indices fell. Asian markets are mixed with the Hang Seng down and the Nikkei up but little changed. The global short-term trend is either mixed, or down right now. This could lead to two-way moves here today.

The market rallied on Wednesday, with the sensex up 893.58 points (4.69%) at 19,929.06, the Nifty 242.50 points (4.26%) at 5,937.90.
The number of Hotline stocks at 200-day highs went up from 23 to 46, while the number at 200-day lows dropped from 3 to 0. The number at 5-day highs went up from 91 to 158, while the number of at 5-day lows dropped from 33 to 7. The 240 stocks averaged a gain of 3.06%.

The CNX Midcap index climbed to new all-time highs yesterday.
However, the sensex still needs to close abv 20,026 to start a new intermediate uptrend. the trigger is quite close. There was no change in the major trend of any of the Hotline stocks yesterday.

Global markets are still in intermediate downtrends, despite the strong moves of the last few days. The next decline would make it known whether an uptrend is developing.

The Nikkei and London’s FTSE-100 are in major downtrends, while most of the others remain in major uptrends for now.

The FIIs bought $30.3 million of stocks on Tuesday, while the MFs dumped $3.2 million worth. The FIIs are averaging daily sales of $47.0 million over the last five sessions, and the MFs are selling at a rate of $17.5 million.

European markets improved last night, with varying degrees of gains, while the US indices fell. Asian markets are mixed with the Hang Seng down and the Nikkei up but little changed. The global short-term trend is either mixed, or down right now. This could lead to two-way moves here today.

The main global indices are still in intermediate downtrends despite the strong rallies. Most major global trends remain up.

The Dow fell 76.08 points (0.57%) to 13,231.01, and the NASDAQ composite went down 29.33 points (1.10%) to 2,644.32.
