Mahurat session could witness retail buying .......................
TECHNICALS ....................... The markets behaved in an anticipated fashion as the “tohba doji” formation advocated yesterday, played out as expected. The market breadth was negative as the combined exchange figures were 1459:2398. The capitalisation of breadth was positive as the commensurate figures were Rs 12,433 crore:Rs 10,916 crore. The indices plummeted as the selling pressure continued unabated. The F&O figures for the previous session indicated a marginal fall in net long positions as bulls remained on the back foot. The indices have closed at the lower end of the intraday range as selling was seen till the fag end of the session. The sensex should CLOSE ABV 20025 if the bulls are to stage a comeback. .....some boarders here r taking my views as NEGATIVE....so i urge them to go through my previous posts.....i have advocated bulls to EXIT full @ sensex close of 19778....& warned bears.....NOT TO GO SHORT ON MED TERM BASIS....since our exit warning....the sensex has shaved 1000 pts.................... No major volume spikes are expected on Friday’s session as it is a token one. The outlook for the markets on Friday is that of cautious optimism as the mahurat session may witness some retail buying. However, no aggressive longs should be initiated at current levels. I wish my TRADERJI MEMBERS a very happy diwali and prosperous new year! |

The yen rose to the highest level since May 2006 against the dollar as concern over credit-market losses and tumbling stocks led investors to shun higher-yielding assets bought with loans in Japan.
The yen posted its biggest weekly advance since December 2005 ........ negatives just dont want to leave world mkts in peace....... bulls....as expected.....the mkts r SINKING right from sensex close of 19978 where i warned bulls to exit FULL...... WHEN THE whole invstr & analyst commuity was preparing to celebrate diwali with 21k.....v were the ones who warned bulls to exit at 19978......yes ...a 100% shot......suddenly there is calm on the streets & everyoe is grapling for direction......but i repeat...bulls RENTER ONLY ON A SENSEX CLOSE ABV 20025....THOSE who ignored my warnings @ 19978....the results r here....a cool 12000 pts sensex shave!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Global sell-off will hit our market.......................... European markets fell heavily on Friday, and the US indices followed suit. Asian markets are also down sharply this morning. The global short-term trend remains down, with another sell-off in process. This could lead to a substantial decline here today. The number of Hotline stocks at 200-day highs went up from 11 to 15, while the number at 200-day lows remained five. The number at 5-day highs went up from 30 to 35, while the number of at 5-day lows dropped from 115 to 68. The 240 stocks averaged a gain of 0.45%. The sensex would be back in an uptrend if it were to close 20,025. The sensex has lost 1200 points since the downtrend from its all-time high close of 19978 . The fall works out to a 16% retracement of the 6,458 points it had gained during the preceding intermediate uptrend. Recent intermediate downtrends have generally been short-lived - rarely exceeding two weeks. Retracements have tended to fall between 25% and 50%. The previous downtrend was an exception, lasting a month with a retracement of 90%. The major trend of IOC turned up on Friday. Almost all global markets are in intermediate downtrends now, and many of the European markets have lower intermediate tops. The FIIs bought $9.3 million of stocks on Wednesday, while the MFs dumped $28.0 million worth. The FIIs are currently averaging daily sales of $59.2 million over the last five sessions, and the MFs are selling at an average rate of $5.2 million. European markets fell heavily on Friday, and the US indices followed suit. Asian markets are also down sharply this morning. The global short-term trend remains down, with another sell-off in process. This could lead to a substantial decline here today. All the main global indices are in intermediate downtrends now, while most major trends are still up. However, some indices have just made lower intermediate tops. The Dow fell 223.55 points (1.69%) to 13,042.74, and the NASDAQ composite went down 68.06 points (2.52%) to 2,627.94. .......................

SMART BOY.....a good recovery seen today......but most f& o players have NOT recoverd from their unnatural losses......bulls RENTER only when sensex closes abv 20025....remember .. v exited @ sensex close of 19978....so even if sensex rises to 20000 from current levels....V LOSE NOTHING !!!!!!!
The markets showed smart recovery and ended the day with moderate losses outperforming its Asian peers. The markets have shown resilience despite some disappointing IIP numbers. The pullback was seen in the final hour of trade and Nifty ended above 5,600 levels and Sensex above 18,700 mark. Sell off in equity markets was triggered by the weak cues from the global markets as US mkts ended in red on account of credit concern leading to the decline in the Asian peers................

The markets opened with a significant weakness in the undertone and proceeded to crawl higher amidst steady volumes. The market breadth was negative as the combined exchange figures were 1348 : 2514.
The capitalisation of the breadth on a commensurate basis was also negative as the figures were Rs 9316 Crs : Rs 14247 Crs. The f&o data for the previous session indicated a falling implied volatility and steady put call ratio. The weak outlook that was advocated @ sensex close of 19978 was seen in play as the bulls were clearly on the back foot since the last few sessions. Short term traders may note that the oriental charts are indicating a “Karakasa” formation that indicates a resilience by the bulls at lower levels. Only the next two sessions will confirm whether the ensuing pattern “Sankawa soko zukae” will unfold and indicate a pullback rally in the near term. Volumes and market internals like breadth and open interest will determine the sustain ability of the pullback rally if any. The outlook for the markets on Tuesday is that of guarded optimism as the overseas cues and short covering at lower levels will determine the short term trends. ...... at 20000...everyone wanted to enter the mkts....get rich quickly.....how many got ?? investrs with med to long term views r gonna survive these mkts....no place for shorttermers
