Hi all,

MUMBAI: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), which plans to invest over Rs 10,000 crore in the equity market by March 2008, took advantage of the short-lived downturn in the market to build up its equity portfolio.

Those retail, FIs and MFs ,who did not participate heavily in the recent bull run, will be eager to buy at every deep fall and the markets may find suppport . News like this will help .

10000 crore will get absorbed by the market in a matter of days... this will provide the FIIs with an easy exit route.

1)I have never heard before that a Finance Minister divulging a vital info on an exchange freeze day (when the exchange was closed) to a public media that FII's are BUYING.
2)All DII's where in Sell mode since 10 days (the period SEBI was interacting with the FII's prior to issuance of this Draft for P-Notes) ; Why ? only to be in Cash.
3) How many charts can you remember in say in 1000 population where a Highly Liquid Heavy weight counter has a Deep Correction & recovery in virtual 'V' shape in 24 Hrs .
4)A deep Low to a New High only signifies very smooth Ease of Movement, means less friction and suddenly all starts Selling ,which even before the next day starts is flushed in the media by Govt that "this was a motivated rumour".

Hence Govt has become an interested party in this Debacle.

I am very comfortable with 1min time-frame now becoz there charts can sense very fast.

Plz do not go by Stories ,rather look at smaller time frame charts.

Please do not trade on such news alone, LIC buying has historically always been the case whenever the markets crash, for those who are new, this is standard & if it falls further the postal money will come in & the banks news of investing their parked fund will come, its the FM card of relief for new traders / investors, though this alone has never helped & nor it will...

& the question we should ask is that LIC (our money) why dint it invest at 10/12/14/16K & is coming now at 20K
