Buying in BSE and Selling in NSE

#1
I have a question.

If a certain stock is listed on both BSE and NSE, is it possible to buy shares of the stock in the BSE and sell those in the NSE. I am asking in regards to both Futures and Cash Market.

Thanks.

Commonly used for arbitrage when price differs between NSE and BSE on a stock.

The turnaround time (bought - got into account - sold) depends on the broker, and vice versa?

for eg: here is Kotak securities reply: Yes. You can buy stock on NSE and sell the same, the next working day under BNST-G in BSE and vice versa

The answer got deleted????

Well the actual answer is...........

You cannot buy in BSE and sell in NSE for intra-day trades. You can do so only if you take delivery of the stock.

And regarding futures, you have to stick to the exchange from which you made the purchase.

Hey,
I buy some stocks through ShareKhan from BSE. But when I open my DP/SR Report it shows Stocks in NSE Exchange. And also I am not able to sell them in BSE.
I can only see an option for "To BSE from NSE" and sell in NSE.
Is their any charges ShareKhan take to convert share from NSE to BSE..?

Cash segment is OK. Any stock which is listed both in bse & nse can be sold in either bourse. But F&O segment settlement takes place only in the same exchange where it was bought/sold.
