would you like to be a trader or an analyst. for me i will go for trading. because i dont have the ability to be an analyst. its better to keep myself in traders zone. anyone have any view on this. i would also go for trading for the extra cash flow. i think proper trading strategy/ideas (including entry, exit, position size & smooth execution skill*) would give much money. as an analyst life will be spent by searching clients.

* i think this is one of the most important point of trading.

trader's life would not be as easy as u thought. He has do to a night shift to do an actual work in the morning. If it is was so easy then everyone who have surplus money would choose this and can gain handsome amount of money.

Are you a full time trader, then you would know it yourself otherwise ask people who are in full time trading like Ashish how much tougher it can get to keep the consistency

oops!! wrong information for the wrong person. So u full time trader then u must know the hassles. Please do not misunderstand me. One day, I day trade and my head starts to ache. I really dont know how u all cope with it.

I would like to be a positional trade as usual but once in a while day trade when u take an off from office and dont have anything to do.

I want to be a SUCCESSFUL Trader, who is essentially a practical and theoretical analyst and that is not the case with most of us.
So why do not we go with the trend to make money? Learn some books of the non traders and be an academician.....Then take a job in the broker's office as a technical analyst and earn a secured and tension free salary by the end of each month,by giving calls to the clients, which is horrible in money management and which will be a system of how much success percentage is known to GOD.

A true Trader may thrive to Handle Funds,on profit sharing basis.Big Funds will need actual Ledger a/c of minimum 1 yrs of consistency (along with the Drawdowns).
Handling few Crores of a Large Fund house, can be just the begining of a different World.
