Friend Rahdakrishnan, I did say that you should do your own research. I may sound like an expert or an experienced investor but that doesn't mean that you should follow my advice to the letter.

GV Films has been in the news almost every day for a couple of weeks as one of the top volume-spinners. However, the stock split ratio that they are planning after the demerger, i.e. three shares of GV Studio (Re. 1 face value) and three shares of GV Media (Re. 1 FV) for every share of GV Films (Rs. 10 FV) looks disadvantageous to the investor. You are in effect, getting only 6 rupees worth of shares for a 10 rupee share, with no guarantee that the new companies will perform better. (G. Venkateswaran, the original promoter, committed suicide because of unmanageable losses and kidnapping/abuse of his family members by usurers from whom he had taken loans.) My advice is to book profit. I have not invested in the shares so don't take my word as the final authority.

I have not invested in Kitex Garments but persons who recommended it at 6-9 at moneycontrol are now advising to book profits.

The same goes fot Nitin Spinners. It seems to be consolidating. If you already have enough profit, you can book it now and may buy at a lower price later, as there is one thought that it may go up to 30 after the April results.

Harig Crankshafts - that is difficult because I have just entered it and it is going up everyday in good volumes. However, I won't let my greed get the better of common sense. The first target is 8 and I'll sell when it reaches that or if it starts coming down. I bought for 5 something and it's now at 6.91 so my target (50% annualized profit over and above brokerage) is achieved.

Dear Rajan,

The Harig Crank Shafts, GV Films, kitex, nitin are drifting drastically. Harig and GV i could not even sell because there is not enough buyers.

However, i could sell kitex with some profits.

from xcess greed , suddenly theres a fear lurking in the minds of many small & midcap holders whether this is the start of the horror show.....?
as cautioned here everytime.....penny stocks holders r bound 2 lose sleep & wealth as they were the ones chasing upper UC stocks @ 9.55 am sharp 2 buy as much as they can before the stock hits an upper cir....& 2 their their frustration , many stocks didnt allow them 2 enter even on opening bell for days as they used 2 hit the upper circ within seconds......& finally when they managed 2 get some cake.............................................. .......
NOW.................the viceversa....u cant exit....

fresh entrants r bound to lose heavily as & when the tide turns.....
invstrs from small & midcap fudamentally sound cos may still gain if they have entered the mkts around 18225....as this will b the trend deciding factor in case of any fall.....
2MORROW WILL MARK THE 100 th SESSION of this uptrend which started from the trough of 13989 close on 21st aug 2007.....

sorry , no intention 2 hurt anyone from our side if they r sitting on the loss but no one can ignore the facts..

Many experts/seniors kept telling the same message over and over again, that Penny stocks are dangerous to handle, yes they get doubled in few WEEKS, at same they can become negative in DAYS.
It seems very few have habbit of listening, hope at least they learn from NOW onwards.

Sorry for the guys, who are in losses.

Smile Re: penny stocks

people i just came across this wonderfull forum while surfing the net...

i would like to share some information...

i invest a part of my money in penny stocks {below Rs.5}

and i have noticed that when these shares start increasing then doubling your money is not hard.

for eg i had purchased DYNACONS SYSTEMS & SOLUTIONS {dynsys - idirect code} @0.35 2 weeks back & today even the market has fallen so much, its still on upper circuit Rs. 1.10/- {touch wood}

or eg i had purchased ON TRACK SYSTEMS LTD {ONTSYS - idirect code} @2.35 LAST YEAR back & today even the market has fallen so much, its still on upper circuit Rs. 23/- {touch wood}

or eg i had purchased IFCI {IFCI - idirect code} @12.50 LAST YEAR back & today even the market has fallen so much, its still on upper circuit Rs. 85.50/- {touch wood}

or eg i had purchased SILVERLINE TECHNOLOGIES LTD {SILIND - idirect code} @4.05/- YEAR back & today even the market has fallen so much, its still on upper circuit Rs. 118/- {touch wood}

or eg i had purchased ARVIND REMEDIES {ARVREM - idirect code} @1.65/- YEAR back & today even the market has fallen so much, its still on upper circuit Rs. 5.60/- {touch wood}

MORE SCRIP:- RELNAT,RELPAT,PNBGIL,HUGTEL,PETLNG,TELDAT

i believe in telling others only after i have invested in that script cause its easy to advise and not buy.

will post regularly & only after i purchase as i don't want people to say that "that guy told to buy"

am i right ? and do u want more ?

PLEASE UPDATE ME ANY MORE SCRIP....

CHEERS,

I appreciate your approach!
But it is very difficult to get fundamental or technical data on penny stock companies.
often penny stock co's are confronted with liquidity crunches on the bourses.
There are people who have made money on counters viz. Bellari steel,Anantraj ind's etc to name a few.
Often data available on penny stock co's is manipulated and these co's are often in the default list of exchanges.
I think one who has a capacity to hold stock for really long term(5 ++ year)
should go for such penny stock co's.
See HFCL has made majority of it's holders to book loss and repent.
As Benjamin Graham has rightly said "there are no good and bad stocks but only expensive and cheaper ones.
