No, In last two days of nifty run, I have not gained, except my delivery positions. Also there was anything to do because of gap up openings.

Dev, my reasons for asking you were different. See - it is definitely easy to have conviction, but trading s a very different scenario altogether and that too when you do it professionaly, much factors come into play which are note there on charts. I have been following your posts , advices and followups. No doubt they are good and accurate. It is high time now that you convert that accuracy into real life trading WHEN you have have such strong convictions. Charts give a very rosy picture. Even a simple MA system can give you profitable returns over a period of time, but trading it actually and getting the same is a different ballgame.

Truly said Alokdaga:

It IS a ballgame.

U need balls to trade your system

its not easy to take signal after signal when the last few trades were loosers. and u skip 1 trade, thinking this will loose too, and bam! it works out, and u are left frustrated

So yes, I second your opinion, giving calls and trading them are a very different ballgame

Czar: have u gone thru my thread?

Trading psy is very important, at least for most new traders and I consider myself to be a toddler.

I am doing huge volumes, and the only thing that has kept me from destroying myself is discipline.

Just need to convert those volumes into a little better profit ratio

Currently my broker makes more than I do,on my trades, and I hope to change that

PS: do brokers sponsor foreign trips or something for big customers? especially those who earn less from trading than the commissions they generate?

Experienced trader Aloke Daga has rightly picked on the Raw nerve,now how to overcome this,reading only Psychology materials can never prepeare you to face & manuovere the 'panicky mental state' involved in the process.
Here steps in Backtesting ,when you do lots of backtesting & find what could be your Max Drawdown(Loss) if you followed that 'Set up' in past.I am not going through nitty grittys,overall you get an idea what can be your Max Loss & what is your Avg Loss & how many loosing trades can happen consequtively ,then you are somewhat prepeared MENTALLy about the plausible uncertain outcome.
This will give you some conviction so that you can trade the plan,now this has to suit your mental acceptable limit.Say you knew Cipla @ 200 has a very good Support now on 11th May / 22nd May / 25th May & on 28th June it gave you 4 oppurtunities to Buy.Looking at the chart now it seems this is very easy.
Think honestly ;though Cipla showed you an oppurtunity for Long Entry @ 202.00 on those days & if longed then could have given min 6 % to 9 % gain, but it was difficult ,Why becoz we always think let it come to 200.00 or a little below then i will (+) vely Buy with either 5 % SL or only 50 % of my planned allocation.(Defensive)
Ultimately it never came to 200.00 ,but in this Forum you have loudly announced that 200.00 is the Support ( i still remember).So
1)Good identification ;
2)Good Entry (1% above support);
3) Good SL (1% below support);
4)Good Exit ( 6 to 9 ) %;
Now if you tested the System ,this would have mentally prepeared you ,(you could have decided Entry @ 202.00 the earlier day ) & from your office at 10.00 am could have placed just 100 Nos Buy @ 202.00 to your broker & after getting news of execution placed a SL at 198.00 over phone and Sell order at 212.10 .Think honestly wasnt it possible ? if so you could have earned 4160.00 on Cipla alone (from 11th May to 5th July).

That is the reason why all of us are shouting for System.(You may get a pm within 10 mins of my post ,becoz these guys cant see the potentiality only reading few posts ,but by my this post they will see it ,somebody offering you to describe the Set up so it can be codded & transformed in a profitable System & partnership offer to sell this System at international mkt, blah blah ,dont fall for the trap,becoz he will take it to sell it back to me in $ price).
We can understand the immense potentiality our members have.Many members having a false notion, as i am at office & not before the Screen hence why bother about backtest these are all blah blah of the seniors only to highlight their importance.
Yes agreed that may be a subconcious reason but Primarily to ignite a deep conviction on Self of our members ,Plz Do Backtest ,plz understand What & Why System trading is essential.
Think deeply people TODAY are truly & actually offering International Mkt-ing offer & greater % partnership to our Seniors.Why are they doing this here in this forum ? there is also other forums like vfmdirect,where you are also an active participant with Hitesh.But why in Traderji ? becoz believe me i stay 4 - 6 Hrs everyday in this forum,if i have rightly understood the pulse,most of our active members (active does not mean regular posting ,but regular viewing.) are having their own Set Up but it is still not Rule based ;lacking in conviction,thats why they want to Learn.Trust me when you see that based on your own rules ,a system designed by you Reports that with an initial capital of 50k it has generated a descent 5 lacks in 5 yrs,your conviction will Soar up ,you will stop leaning on the mental crutch & put a strong foot forward in acual mkt.
Unlike traderji in most of the forums it is Call givers who are popular not Knowledge givers.
Here in this forum we are in a transition stage continuously bombard by self interest propagators.Watch why Saint has broken his silence,these guys like Saint have taught us FREELY,they can feel this bad undercurrent,& they are tremendously disturbed ,which may seem to you these Seniors are bunched together ,Yes it is so , for uninitiated members
Saint Trade US Mkt / E-Minis / Crude / just name them he trades them ;basing from Singapore ,
CV is now cutting US Mkts /Forex on Higher waters since quite some time,
Amit Trades from Singapore ,
Karthik trades from Kuwait ,
all these guys earn in more no of multiples than your Per Annum Remunaretion,why are they here in this hour bunched as a pack / no Ambiguity, my dear friend (who may be earning 6Lacks per annum) friend they are now to HELP YOU & me & our members for a final jolt towards that path of actual trading, not buy & hold type,without any self interest.Tell me what Saint / CV / Ashish / Khartic / Joy mitali / Amitt / Savant / Kalyan / Aloke / so many others / will get MORE than they have NOW.
What we will get is more than what they will get from us.Hence plz step forward ,know who are creating trouble,ignore them,post to them who are to be pressed more for our development.
CV is one of the end product.Yes we can all thrive for more stress free Money Earning more secured Future more Quality time to family.They seem to be bunched for Our interest.
Thks for bearing with this long post ,it is time for you to demand more from them.

NB: It is a post for all not for Dev in particular though written for him.
