hi

backup power utility does not cost you more than 20,000. I have one for my system and it does not occupy space too. It is just like a car battery.

If you want I can provide you with the phone number, you can contact them and get the details. I am sure it will be available in Kolkata too.

no capacity rgt now
i know, like the Mainframe, it is space consuming. are you planning to supply power to your neighborhood? if not check for any 1000 VA inverter (max 18000) and a 200 mh battery (max 12000). You can run a PC for at least 10 hours. It fits on a 4' by 2' table.
You can even go for 800 VA. remember the factor of 8. Watts os approx 0.8 times VA. So 800VA can support approx 640 watts with standard error.

Renuji:

B_av is correct.

www. electroindia .net/contactus.htm

ph: 0422 2446571 ; there are some other phone numbers too.

You can contact them and get the exact details, just tell them you need a UPS for your computer to run for 6-8 hours. You can ask what is the capacity required (in VA/KVA).

With those details, you can search for it in Kolkata.

Cheers

No offence to anybody. But with the last line of the post as the punch line, this is a good creation.
P.S. If u have such intelligent sense of humour and good punch lines in ur stock, please write atleast one a day. This forum is almost getting dull without good humour and wit(if we forget the occassional posting of the master poster CV)!

Does it costs too much Renuji ,..

And if ur pointing me, then i must tell u one thing ,.. simple inverter with a good battery will give u backup for 5 hrs. and if u own an inverter as u said then u just need to spend few bucks on battery. that will not exceed more then 10 k ...

Regards,..
Darsh
