As a rule ,whenever a company or a sector raises its prices ,the price of its share rises too.This is bcos high prices result in higher profits i.e. if demand and sales remain unaffected.

The current Finance minister is trying to control inflation by putting price control on cement and other essential commodities.This is the precise reason why cement and steel stocks are hit.
