i agree with jnj333.atleast jai corp has some assest that may or may not be worth the share value.but atlanta was a clear play of fooling the investors.SEBI is locking the stable gates after the horses have fled. What was SEBi doing all these days when they were playing with investor's money. instead of a ban or a fine, let them jail them for 10 years.hope this forum will start a vote on jail term for promoter/operator manipulations.
bye

I wish the government, CBI, SEBI, and the BSE/NSE start some kind of enquiry into this so that in the future people are scared to try these tricks on innocent investor. Its kind of funny on part of SEBI to fine a dismal amount where these guys made billions of rupees.

I guess i dream too much!!!!

Yes, This is India, Anyone with lots of money gets away pretty easily here, Few years back there was scam by a company called JVG, even the promoters were ready to go to Jail for couple of months and they did go to jail (on record they did but not in reality) and eventually got away with thosands of crores. The whole system can be manipulated with money. Small investors are most hit here.

Members SEBI Banned ATLANTA too....

"SEBI also banned the company from issuing fresh shares or any other instrument convertible into shares. It has also directed the stock exchanges to disallow the company's planned stock split.

Atlanta's shares, which listed last September, rose 681 percent in 55 trading sessions, according to the order passed on Thursday."
