Few Picks - Need to Enlighten
Guys,
I would like to share few stocks that have very good EPS, Quarter resuts, BV but then the stock price is very low. P/E about 4 or 5. I want others to provide similar kind of stocks. Just two picks to start with, Ambika Cotton Mills: 531978 CMP: 167.00 EPS: 37.81 P/E: 4.42 B/V: 165.73 Gupta Synthetics: 514116 CMP: 85.95 EPS: 20.52 P/E: 4.19 B/V: 115.72 Why is these counters failing. I think the EPS of 60 was before the stock split. 1:2 Split happen a month back (not sure) then it has become EPS of 20.

Canara Bank CMP:210 EPS: 34.37 P/E: 6.14 B/V: 171.19 Corporation Bank CMP:269 EPS: 36.11 P/E: 7.47 B/V: 235.28 Federal Bank CMP:229 EPS: 28.53 P/E: 8.12 B/V: 145.20 LIC housing fin CMP:152 EPS: 27.22 P/E: 5.60 B/V: 158.30 SCI CMP:177 EPS: 36.21 P/E: 4.91 B/V: 154.45 All are fundamentally solid companies with proven business models. One should accumulate on declines I feel...

stocks like Gupta Synthetics and Ambika Cotton are low-cap. Also info about past earnings history is necessary to analyze why these stocks have low p/e
P/E is also determined by factors like earnings visibility, management quality etc...

Alps Industries BSE: 530715 | NSE: ALPSINDUS
CMP: 57, EPS: 9.6, P/E: 5.9, B/V: 152 quarterly resuts is also encouraging for this counter. But now at its 52 week low.
