Default How to convert share certificate to demat format

Hi Friends,

I have some REL shares certificates in non demat format and Demat account as well. Is it possible to convert those share to demat format in order to deposite in my demat account?

You have open an account in a bank which offers Dematting facility. Your existing bank may be offering it. They will give you a Form for Dematting. Fill it up and hand over the shares (must keep a copy) and your job is done. Its that simple.

I have one more questions

Person A has demat account in Kotak securities
Person A and B jointly holds the share
Do you think that shares can me converted to demat format and transfered to person A account??

No.
You must have a separate account for Joint Holder. Meaning, if the share is held by AB, then the demat account must be opened in the name of AB. Otherwise get the share fully transfered in one name(A) and demat in A.
