Hi,
i have a query on z group stocks. What is this Z group. What are the specific criteria on which stock move into & out of Z group. i have bought a good stock in Z group. But because it is in Z group & circuit limit is 2 %, the price is not moving up. It is trding in the range. When can i expect the stock to move out of this group & also the circuit limit be increased on 20%. what are the specific criteria for stock to move out of Z group to other groups. Thanks |

""Z" Group The Exchange has introduced a new category called "Z Group" from July 1999 for companies who have not complied with and are in breach of provisions of the Listing Agreement. The number of companies placed under this group as at the end of May, 2001 was 1,475. The number of companies listed at the Exchange as at the end of May 2001 was 5,874. This is the highest number among the Stock Exchanges in the country and in the world." |

Hi,
Thank u for the info. Could somebody advise what are the specific criteria for stocks to move into & out of Z group. when are stock put on circuit limits. i find that many stocks irespective of their groups z,b1,s....are all under limits ranging from 2% to 20 %. is it advisable to buy stocks in tight limits like 2% - 5%. Please advise Thanks Suresh |
