Sounds contradictory.
The fact that stock value is decreassing 5% daily means that there is some transaction gogin on daily. Then hows it possible that you aint able to sell it? The only case where you won't be able to sell is when there is no seller, buit in that case yoiur market price wont fluctuate at all. Hmmm, why dont you try gving an after-market hours order, that will get executed ASAp when the trading hours resume the next working day? |

Hi SSRIK(Srikanth),
Th ereason would be it going to lower circut immediatly after market opne (means more sellers then buyers) hence you might not able to sell your shares. And if you really want to sell those shares (no matter how much loss/profit you will get) then I think you placed sell order with Market price. Try to place such order at exacly when order accepts (I don't know exact timing when sell/buy order accepts in market..but I think since Market open at 10.00am, keep trying just before 1-2 min..). I have HDFC online trading account which only allow me to place buy/sell equities orders only after Market start and before end!!. I'm really new in trading, I hope this what is happening and what you can do. But still wait for some reply from Experince members here. Regards Dude |

Well if his shares are on NSE, he doesn't need to wait till opening bell (at 0955).
He can place an after market hours order, which can be given anytime from 2300 (previous day) to 0800 (market order day) |

the reason why you are not able to sell is coz the scrip is hitting lower circuit everyday, Kindly try placing the order at next days lower circuit, and if does hit lower circuit, you order will either be executed or will be queued, Iam afraid, you cant do better than that, cross your fingers and hope that your number is ahead in the que, and hope it will be executed, please place the order early morning or a day earlier if the system permits, by the way my gut feeling is that garware offshore will bounce back, all the best and wish you a great new year ahead

thanks everyone for the reply,
yes it goes to 5% circuut immedlty as soon as the market opens. i have tried to palce the order with next days low circuit also . But it does nt help. Also in ICICIDIRECT , it does not permit me to do a market price order for this stock, it says there is no previoius price available. i guess the operators are manipulating the stock heavily i will keep trying . anyhow i have started accruing loss because of this now. rgds Srikanth |

You have a great opportunity to get out of Garware off shore shares today, Highly speculative, dont get tempted by the carrot, may start its southward journey once again in a few days, all the best
