I personally prefer swing trading & investing in good stocks more than 1 year.

I believe that the Swing Trading method is a best way for the individual investor for short-term trading in the stock market.

Investing not just for 1+ years but more than that if the company is doing well.

Hi,
I have started trading online since last 6 months and prefer day-trading and sometimes takes delivery to hold it for a few days. I am of course still learning. However I feel day trading carries lot more potential because--
* 10 times leverage
* I can buy as well as short
* I can focus on 3-5 stocks which have high volumes and large daily range
* no surprises on day after taking delivery
* capital is not stuck up in some stock but can be used repeatedly throughout the day with leverage.----KK

I prefer positional trading, because I am still new to this field and also I am not able to watch tick by tick, I prefer to take delivery wait for a target and like switch over to next or come back again. In a near future I want to shift to Swift Trading.

One more imp thing i think u missed
if u gain 1% / day
Considering and using the formula of compound interest it can take u to 900% a yr. but very very risky and mostly screwed by noise.

Swing.

I have done some day-trade on stocks with some "night before" news.
Not been very effective, hence regressed back to swing.

Thanks guys for your reply,

Day trading is really interesting, but you need to be more knowledgeable and stick to the comp whole day.

well dear bullet(how can it be dear?by my personality i am more comfortable with long term trading.it gives me time to research and think abt the co untill i am satisfied with my pick.
i like swing as it is a good way to use spare cash and not keep it idle.max i enter 3 scrips at one time.no fundamentals are involved-- just the news, hype, price action, and technicals.OK??

I like swing trade. U trade with only ur money. no margins, so no heavy loss. if price drops, u can wait for some days till SL is reached.
thanks.
