Look at it positively. At least for me, both my office and home had very poor signal coverage, and I had to spend my time calling the numbers from missed call alerts, apart from wasting time in 'can you hear me'. Things have become better that I spend less time now in calls, though I have to switch to 2G once inside my home or office for my Airtel. I keep it in 2G, and change to 4G whenever I am outside and want to use the net.

Starting this weekend will be travelling for 10 odd days,
have heard that BSNL works better than other private operators in interiors
(I guess that is everywhere except metros), so wanted to take it as an extra . . .
Will give feedback after using it.

In Oct 2015, we were on a 10 days holiday in Kerala and TamilNadu. And while travelling through hilly terrains of Western Ghats of Kerala, we were facing acute problem of connecting calls with our Airtel and Idea connections, while our cab driver was not facing any problem with his BSNL connection
BTW, I too want to get this plan of BSNL, but problem is how to get it in Delhi.
