Latest update about my JioFi....

It seems they have completely lost my application form. Anyway, got my connection activated with some 'special' help from the shop guys ( they have been quite helpful all the time ) ...

Am getting anywhere between 5-13 Mbps ( download ) and 5-6 Mbps ( upload ) speed. The connection is anything but stable. Nest is getting stuck time and again.

At my place, I get constant 22-24 Mbps ( before Jio launch this used to be 16-18 ) from Airtel with max 2/3 disconnections per day.

I know its too early to pass a judgement... but if this is the curtain raiser.. the whole movie might turn out to be a box office disaster.. and by no means Jio can displace entrenched players like Airtel and Vodafone..

May god help Jio ( and their huge investments ) and all the stakeholders !

Finally Jio store fellow says it is already too old issue. No more number I will get. He says if I can generate new code, then I can get new sim with EKYC. But I don't get Get Jio sim option in my My Jio app in my Moto G3 in which previously I got the code. I uninstalled and reinstalled the my jio app. Further I uninstalled and restarted the phone also. Still I don't get Get Jio sim option. Any solution to get bar code again in the same phone.

Ironically i got 20MBps first time today , looks like they have sorted out their network issues :thumb:
Thats really good at your place.

In my case each passing day its getting worse. Now the situation is that RJio will not even be able to connect to the server for a speed test. Only able to browse websites which are nicely optimized like Traderji.

Gone back to my Idea 3G which is quite superior to Jio at my place.

You can use any compatible phone to generate the coupon code.
Condition is:

1. EKYC should be successful,
2. EKYC linked UID should not have a previously allocated SIM
(AFAIK, I was told that only 1 sim per UID)
3. Coupon should not have already been allocated SIM
(Again, your coupon should be valid and no SIM assigned to it)
Some idiots, mind me saying that, were standing in line with coupon snapshots being forwarded over WhatsApp.

With all the above true, you get instant SIM Activation, for other offline methods, ppl are complaining for over 20 days delay.

Many times the server for EKYC is unavailable and some store execs misguide by giving such wrong reasons. Just check that you are not falling for that.

Am I correct in my understanding IMEI number is assigned by manufacturer. Is it legal to change that number.

I tried all methods found in net which I considered legal.
1) I saw installing all Jio apps will change the tab showing click to install all apps will change to get jio sim. But it did not change.
2) Uninstall My Jio. Restart phone and install My Jio. This also did not help.
3) Some note say installing old My Jio app will help. I downloaded it and changed security condition in my moto G 3, from settings|Security allow apps from unknown sources. Still apk fileis not opening. Hence that option also did not help.

Wat Subhadip Da mentions is correct, bcos the coupon does generate based on some connection with their servers and is linked to IMEI.

However, I don't think anyone would really now how, even though your phone has two IMEI numbers, or maybe they use primary IMEI.

Secondly, your already generated coupon code seems to have been used either due to a glitch or by someone else, otherwise the coupon will keep appearing on your phone in the jio app.

Its best if you have anyone else at home/friend/family who may generate one.
Else, IMEI change is a grey area that would work.

Change IMEI. Generate the my jio bar code. Then again change to original IMEI.

I tried xposed. It does not change.
Mobile uncle changes only for MTk chips.
In non-rooted device, I could not find useful info for changing IMEI.
