how many of you think stocks will take a hit in next month or so

we all know gst will be passed that means around 1 or 2 percent plus within this month ..monsoon is also good.. but when we talk about longer duration say around 3 months ..what you feel as many people say that gst news is almost priced in .....logistics stocks have doubled...and so...brexit + chinese economy + FED meetings......what is the scope of stock market in next ...3...4 months, ?

Mark,

Predicting what will happen next month in the market is same as predicting the weather... we can all analyse, but the market will do what it will do - which is surprising people most of the time... exception ofcourse is for buy and hold investor or for those who take a macro economic view and hold for a period of a few months to year/years....

My 2C.

From an investment perspective, this is a good time to start a new SIP or continue as usual if you already have SIPs running. However, I wouldn't go for any lumpsum investments for the rest of the year. The only exception is if Nifty declines by 100-200 points. At each such instance, I intend to buy more units (I'm talking about mutual funds here, not direct investments in stocks).

From a trading perspective, keep doing what you're doing. Crashes (or otherwise) don't matter.

i agree continue with monthly or weekly sip in companies with low debt high yields, you will get an average entry price so will never need to worry about market fluctuations
