Dear Members,
CEM EOD Data Downloader & Converter is uploaded here. It is Freeware. Steps for using - 1.Select ‘Download Data from BSE & NSE’ from main menu. 2.Select date range & exchange (BSE or NSE) then click ‘download’. (data of BSE are available for past 3 months & NSE are available since 1995) 3.After download select ‘Organize Favorite Scripts’ from Main Menu. 4.Now click ‘Open’ & select any downloaded NSE EOD data file. (It will be in folder ‘Application Path/Download/NSE’) 5.You will get list of all scripts. Select any scripts & right click on it to add to your favorite. 6.Now Right click on any favorite script & select ‘open data’. 7.On the ‘Data’ Menu click ‘Import’. All data’s of that scripts will be extracted from downloaded EOD data of NSE. 8.Now you can calculate ATP, %change etc. or you can sort data by Date, High, open, close or ATP etc. You can also export data for Amibroker or FCharts. 9.Other way to import downloaded data – If you have many scripts in your favorite, you do not need to open each script & Import. Simply click ‘Import Downloaded Data’ from Main Menu. 10.To directly convert data for other TA software (Skip para 6 to 9 above), click 'Data Converter' from Main Menu. You can convert EOD data (downloaded by our software) for Metastock, FCharts & Amibroker. This software was sent to some Group Members for testing as we doesn't have Metastock. There were different opnion about Metastock data. If Data exported for metastock do not work, then please try amibroker data (exported by our software) for Metastock. Some members told that data for Amibroker works for both Amibroker & Metastock. Data will be converted for your Favorite scripts only. This will save time in unnecessarily converting data of all scripts. To add script to your favorite, please read para 3 to 5 above. Software Best Performs with Windows XP. If you are using Windows 98, You will need MDAC2.8 installed on your system & other runtime files. Unzip all files in any folder & run application. If you get any error message, please download complete setup from - http://**********.de/files/30026135/CEM_EOD.exe.html.After installation, overwrite files by uploaded here. Hi cem,
Thanks for the software. I installed it on Win Me and it overwrote some system files. After the restart an error message kept popping up whenever I tried to start most programs "OLEAUT32.dll cannot start". To cut a long story short I d/l an old version of OLEAUT32.dll from the net and copied it into my system folder after which 80% is normal again. It is quite possible this happened as I do not have MS office installed. Any non XP users, please post your feedback here. cem, this is just my experience of what happened, I cannot understand why WinMe did not accept the newer version of oleaut32.dll Your app will be highly in demand as the bse-nse2005 ***** group is providing data very late nowadays and I prefer to delete their database from AB and use the data direct from the exchange. If BSE provides data only for the last 3 months, can someone upload the data prior to that for the last 1 year? |

You have run into known bug. Microsoft in its wisdom has provided differet versions for win 98/ME and winNT/xp/2000. What cem has given you is the version meant for winxp. You should have extracted oleaut32.dll from your cab file after booting in dos mode. Here is a solution for you A 'fresh' copy can be extracted locally from the WIN_14.CAB file either in the \win9x folder on an MS retail version of the WinMe CD or in the Windows\Options\Instal (or CABS) folder the C: drive. The correct version is 2.40.4515.0 dated 8 June 2000 @ 17:00:00 Hrs. Downloading a copy from the web is not such a good idea. You can use mcrepair.exe tool also to restore your file Pankaj |

Hi Pankaj,
Tried mcrepair.exe, it did'nt work for me. Maybe it's intended for Win 98 users. As it is 80% of my computer is restored, a few apps that use the net have died, I suspect it's because some other system files are also replaced with newer incompatible versions. I have posted the earlier post just in case someone else runs into the same problem. Sorry I have not tested your options utility yet. Just received a copy of VB express so I'll probably format and install everything again over the weekend. I need to make cem's app work, at least my EOD data will come on time. |

Hi Cem,
Please do not apologize for anything. You did say that it was for XP users. The reformat was long overdue too. I really do appreciate your effort and looking forward to your next release. All this time I have been using data from the ***** groups and would like to get rid of it as there are a lot of errors. Is there any way to get EOD data from BSE for the last 1 year? |

Did you try JDM's utility to get BSE data, a modified version is there too by satish. I guess they are for the same purpose. Assumed here that you are looking for EOD version of data. Best Regards Coool. |

The file was deleted from ********** due to some complaint. New file will be uploaded in 1-2 days. Please intimate your OS & detail of error message you receive. If downloader is working & other features not works, it may be due to non availability of MDAC2.8. Please try installing it from - http://**********.de/files/15466654/...P2.80.EXE.html Or you may please wait for new setup. Thanks, K S Kachhwaha |
