Dear sir,
1st I would like to appreciate your work, that is a FREE software to download data from nse and bse and convert it for various software of technical analysis.

Sir, as far as the download data is concern I am absolutely satisfied. That without any missing, the software is downloading all files from nse website both equity and f&o.

But when I see the conversion (DATA CONVERTER) part I find that there are some options which are unnecessarily added. And the software can develop further Say
1) why someone need to add all tickers (or some) in favourite folder before conversion. While conversion you have given the options as to tick only selected scrip (tickers) from favorites. When someone didn’t tick that option then program can directly take all tickers from input file itself.
2) you have unnecessarily added EQ at the end of tickers in equity / cash market while conversion. I know you have to take only ‘eq’ and ‘be’ series from that. But you can ask program to take only that tickers where eq and be series as display.
3) In F&o you have created tickers are also difficult in analyzing in charts you use following style e.g. ‘FUT-NIFTY-300807’ INSTEAD YOU CAN USE AS ‘NIFTY-I’ FOR ‘FUT-NIFTY-290907’ = ‘NIFTY-II’ AND FOR ‘FUT-NIFTY-251007’ = NIFTY-III .
In any eod file of f&o of nse you will get three month series of contract information for current month, next month and far month. With date of all contract are mention in separate column, so here you can ask program to add ‘-I’ or ‘-II’ or ‘-III’ at the end of ticker(symbol) for current, next and far month respectively.
So when analyzing chart of say NIFTY-I wil automatically show near month chart of all with historial prices. Use expiry date to add –I or -II or -III from file.
4) same way you can create tickers for option as NIFTY-I-4000-PE OR NIFTY-II-4000-CE etc. in the above case NIFTY-I-4000-PE is for near / current month call details and NIFTY-II-4000-PE is for next month put details. Again all details are available in eod file of nse.
5) Create convet file for for per day separate, say the import from nse get in each day file separate so the conversion file will be useful in each day separate. Instead of scripwise Separate yes you can give this (scrip wise) option in addition if you can.

Those who can buy software can all subscribe for data. So I think for new members and those using free software say fchartsSE they are looking for free data.
One more thing is the format of
ticker, yyyymmdd, open, high, low, close, volume (or open interest for F&o)
is import in most software say metastock, amibroker and my favourite free fcharts SE.
Again bse is not providing historical data (except last 3 months) on their site so try to concentrate on nse for equity and f&o.

I suggest, you can give two options in program for f&o, As there might be requirement of only future data of index or stock OR option data of index or stock OR both data future and options. So you can give option in conversion say select future or options or both and then select index or stock or both. AND if someone need selected scrip the he suppose to add that in favorite and then convert it ticking option only selected scrip. Again ask program to take only those scrip where transaction has taken place on the same day e.g. option contains huge data in nse file with 0-zero as mention where prices are not mention in open field.

I hope you don’t mind about my suggestion, my ultimate motto is that your software can develop to a large extend and people remember you forever.

Again I am thanking you for your time and efforts for the whole community of sharemarket.

Thanking you
p.suhas

Hello CEMCOMPUSOFT,

Thank You for providing such nice utility.

From many days After importing EOD Data into AmiBroker , some script has very strange values
see following... you can download csv file and check following script.
while importing into AmiBroker, this values disturb the database.

I request you to make changes in your program (while importing data to AmiBroker) to allow line only "EQ" and "BE" and ignore other like "P1","W1" etc,

Thank You

Waiting from new compiled program eagerly.

Steps for using -

1.Select ‘Download Data from BSE & NSE’ from main menu.

2.Select date range & exchange (BSE or NSE) then click ‘download’. (data of BSE are available for past 3 months & NSE are available since 1995)

3.After download select ‘Organize Favorite Scripts’ from Main Menu.

4.Now click ‘Open’ & select any downloaded NSE EOD data file. (It will be in folder ‘Application Path/Download/NSE’)

5.You will get list of all scripts. Select any scripts & right click on it to add to your favorite.

6.Now Right click on any favorite script & select ‘open data’.

7.On the ‘Data’ Menu click ‘Import’. All data’s of that scripts will be extracted from downloaded EOD data of NSE.

8.Now you can calculate ATP, %change etc. or you can sort data by Date, High, open, close or ATP etc. You can also export data for Amibroker or FCharts.

9.Other way to import downloaded data – If you have many scripts in your favorite, you do not need to open each script & Import. Simply click ‘Import Downloaded Data’ from Main Menu.

10.To directly convert data for other TA software (Skip para 6 to 9 above), click 'Data Converter' from Main Menu. You can convert EOD data (downloaded by our software) for Metastock, FCharts & Amibroker. This software was sent to some Group Members for testing as we doesn't have Metastock. There were different opnion about Metastock data. If Data exported for metastock do not work, then please try amibroker data (exported by our software) for Metastock. Some members told that data for Amibroker works for both Amibroker & Metastock.

Data will be converted for your Favorite scripts only. This will save time in unnecessarily converting data of all scripts. To add script to your favorite, please read para 3 to 5 above.

Software Best Performs with Windows XP. If you are using Windows 98, You will need MDAC2.8 installed on your system & other runtime files.

Unzip all files in any folder & run application. If you get any error message, please download complete setup from - http://**********.de/files/30026135/CEM_EOD.exe.html.After installation, overwrite files by uploaded here.
