Problems with Getbhavcopy downloader (Hemen Kapadia software)
I am a relatively new to trading. So, please bear with me if I happen to ask very elementary questions.
I was using an earlier version of Mr. Kapadia's software and things were working well. Then I had to reinstall my XP and all other softwares. I found out that this earlier version I was using is no more supported and that there was a newer version that I have to use. This newer version gives me a lot of problems. Firstly, there is this problem with "unhandled exceptin"; secondly, although my dataone adsl gives me a download speed of well over 170 KB/second, this particular software is extremely slow in downloading (I have tried this out during all times of day and night); also, the indices never download (error 404 or something like that); Can anybody help me here? Apart from this and the Bhavyait, are there other trusted freeware for downloading historical data? Are zipped files of historical data available from, say, 2000 to the present day? thanks; please help a beginner.

Hi,
Which version are you currently using? As of now version 1.4.1 is the latest. Second, since you reinstalled XP can you please ensure the correct version of .Net i.e. 2.0 framework is being used? All the download link are availble at download getbhavcopy. Regards, Hemen.
