Open Price Not Displayed in Metastock
Hello,
I'm using Metastock 10 (EOD). I've downloaded nse historical data from their website. And have converted the same using Downloader to Metastock format. When I open the same in metastock, the open price is not visible or displayed. Many of the indicators use the open price to calculate and plot on the chart, but I'm unable to do so. I've attached the excel file of the data that has been converted for metatstock. Please have a look at the data file and let me know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in Advance. Regards, Jatin

I have attached the screenshot of MS10 EOD. Please note that on the left (Data Window) Open - N/A.
I have tried opening the same data file in other packages, and it works completely okay. Regards, Jatin

Weird! I think Opening price isn't showing in data window only. I can see it in the candle though. Do you see it in the "tool tips" (the yellow box when you move mouse pointer around a candle). Try to reinstall the software.

hi jartin
i think your having this probelm only with this S&P cnx INDEX e.i NIFTY rigth ? ok , open the metstock dowloader and then go to file-> thenopen-> and choosed the nnifty there now there you will find open interest box and opening prices click opening prices you go it is solved my problem in relinfra may be it will work for you too Ali Last edited by Ali_001; 29th August 2008 at 12:24 AM.
