MetaStock NSE Data downloader with VIX

Many many thanks to you Mr. Xtalk. But one thing I found deficient in that ;SENSEX volume data is not available .can you please modify it so that volume data for sensex also can be downloaded.

BSE don't publish Volume info. At least, I don't see it in the indices page. Later I'll upload a BSE Bhavcopy download module and then you'll get BSE 30 volume data. Nifty spot and futures volume should work anyway.

Folks,

Kindly use the latest updated version (dated 18/09/08) at Post1, Page1. You should be able download EOD Stock Futures along with SPOT indices.

Next version I will try to incorporate EOD BSE Bhavcopy, NSE Options Contracts, DOW, S&P 500, Crude Oil Fut, etc.

lot of thax mr xtalk, ur work is excellent,ur latest version is bug free but sir is this possible to download only spot index, or cash stock, or future data separately as our need , i mean if i need only spot nifty last four years data how can i get this, thax dhirajsud

Dhiraj,

In "Data Feeds > End of Day" section there are several posting on Historical dump of NSE stocks in MetaStock format and those are (I guess) split bonus adjusted as well. Nifty spot index data also available there. Futures EOD data dump isn't available.

I am very lay in software thing, i have Fchart pro, i didnt use it b4 but now i am back testing on few things, i heard somewhere fchart is compatible with metastock, ( whatever it means ) my concern is can i use ur utility for fchart? ( especially i want to make a indicator about vix and ur utility seems to be perfect )

If Fchart pro supports date, Open, High, Low, Close, Volume, OI format then you can use that. Both Amibroker and MS supports that format.

xtalk .... so many thanks for sharing ur utility .. i can see VIX chart in my fchart pro ... as traderji as a big team ( as i always make a point ) i will say thanks by posting vix charts in nifty part 2 positional thread along with technical analysis and my views .. once again thanks a tone
p.s. just a thought .. is it possible to download option open interest put call ratio ? ( mostly it gets update in kotaksecureties in morning time )
