Getting recent data and updates depends on your data source. For example, if you are using AmiBroker, then M30 data can be exported from it. An afl to do so has been mentioned under Help -- Data Files, and also discussed in TJ.

The Ensign Market Statistics link given in the first post explains usage and possible benefits in a manner that marks an original author and is hard to beat. Most of TA is about finding possibly repeating patterns, and this statistical presentation is one way.

Since the tool has been recently developed, I am still trying to assess its usefulness. One things that stares in the face from the screenshot in the first post -- most of the highs and lows occur in the first and last hour of trade. While it is well-known that most of the trade volume occurs during this period, the occurrence of highs/lows of over 75% is an eye-opener and resulting in changing my trading time-table. A recent post in Yahoo Finance illustrates this flamboyantly.

M30 Market Statistics

There is a new version of this program - the focus has shifted away from NSE as the trading time of 9:15 to 15:30 is no more conducive to analysis with 30 minute intervals.

Download link. Please enter username as m30mstr and password as traderji when authentication is requested.

This is addressed to the person who tried to download this utility on the 6th evening using the wrong username / password in post #1 rather than the one in post #4. The requests are coming from an aircel / Dishnet wireless IP.

The browser / downloader you are using has gone into a loop, and is continuing to repeat the request every 1 minute since then. For example on the 8th, it has made about 800 requests, and is just using up bandwidth.

If you read this, please take appropriate action. Thank you.
