Hi Preston Myers,
What I meant by tick data is data for Intraday Day-I dunno if it is freely available.But I can capture tick data from my broker when online at particular time in market hours.
Here is a sample file I have captured for SESA GOA.I am planning to insert this data in S/W like METASTOCK/FIBOTRADE/AMIBROKER and for trials purpose and then learn some analysis for Intraday and trade accordingly if I am able to .After trial I will goin for Live feed if I get comfortable with any these s/w .But nowadays I don't have much knowhow so after few months maybe I will try ..But till then if I am able to capture data from my broker and uplaod it to any of these S/W and get signals it will be very useful..
Please find attached tick data of 14th March 2008 for SESA GOA ..
But here I have to manual save in a file and would then try to upload it in MS.If u'r utility does the same thing then I would be very grateful to U.

Hello Raju,
Which broker you use?, and is this data available to everyone or only a account holder?
The program I made downloads data from NSEIndia.com only and they do not provide tick data I think. I can capture data from the website but if too many symbols are used its tooooooooo slow!!, but upto say 10 symbols ist fast enough. I will be ading it to NSEDataDownloader soon. It will save data to text files. I can make it auto download every few minutes ect lets see......I will need a lot of feed back to make it usefull for everyone.

Hi,

I use ShareKhan,but I think any broker would provide such data . I have demat with them.Anybody can open an acct with them.

Thanks for your latest downloder it is nice but it need some more rectification as per me.
Why are you creating two different file for EQ and BE or any other series I selected. Please make only one file and make this output file name constant say Myers.csv or Myers.txt or any other of your choice. This is because we need to update our metastock daily and everytime we have to change the source file name (Practical Problem).

Please Insert Indices data in this file automatically.

Can U Insert BSE Indices data also.

If possible give option to select our desired output file extension.

Your idea is practical ..Good One.This is one of the "Must Have" in S/W terminology in requirements phase..I am not in S/W dev, few terms are known to me...

Yes I did for ticker history , tested for date 13-14 and here is the o/p

Hello Samvet,
You pointed out that due to different series, it is possible to get the same ticker/symbol with two or three different OHLCV data so if I put it all into one file how will you or anyone (software) know which is which?, Unless I let the file also contain one more column with the series in it. I will give the option to change the file extn and put Indice data into the Bhavcopy downloads, thats ok, but this is a NSEIndia downloader BSE Indice may not be possible but I will look into it, So either I keep the series column and let all data be in one file or it will have to be split into different series as seperate files.

Hello Preston,

Only EQ and BE Series are tradeable and most of the stock analysis is done only on stocks which are tradeble, and it is not possible that any stock/ticker/symbol exist in both the series.

So make only one file for EQ and BE and for rest of series make different file for different series.

"Run-time error '9':
"Subscript out of range"
