Hi, I am being cheated by Unicon Securities. Here are the issues faced by me.

  1. Unable to square off my positions since last 3 days. I get Adaptor is down message. Not sure what this means
  2. No one is picking up my phone when I call the customer service line(0120-4051666). The number listed on their site 1800-103-3388 is not working.
  3. The online money withdrawal facility is not working, which means I cannot transfer funds from trading account to my bank.

Not sure what do I do from here.

You can raise a grievance in NSE . List the problems you are facing about this Broker to the authorities at NSE .

NSE has provided for an insurance of upto Rs.10 lakhs for the investors if the broker goes bankrupt with which they are trading.

their toll fee no. has been deactivated and paid no. is never picked up.
They are not even replying to emails.
customer care executives like Niket or nitesh(could not remember his exact name) when contacted on personal number 09654862404 cuts the phone.
it seems, they are only ignoring out-city small clients as no news channel is covering this issue. :annoyed:

Now a days, even SEBI forwards complaints to NSE but don't know what NSE shall do if broker turns bankrupt.
Then ball shall again fall in SEBi's court and don't know how long it shall take?
What is strange that no business channel is taking up this issue.
Even CNBC peharedar is flooded with Unicon complaints but they too are burdened with so many other complaints.

NSE is supposed to register the complaints on the same day of filing but then what ???

The same long procedure. At least demat shares should remain safe.

Only NSE can answer above questions. I don't have all required data to answer such question. :)

If broker is declared as bankrupt & shut down business, then it is definitely a long long process. But, if broker is active solving such complain like 'cannot transfer funds from trading account' is quite easy for NSE.

There are already many complains against UNICON SECURITIES PVT. LTD launched in this APRIL. Which are Under Process (can take long time if they declared as bankrupted). You can see some complains against known active members like ICICI SECURITIES LIMITED,
RELIGARE SECURITIES LTD, SBICAP SECURITIES LIMITED etc is already solved within few days.

You can see from below links:-
http://www.nseindia.com/invest/content/arbitration_reports/report_1a_2014_15.htm

I have noticed there are many complains against BMA WEALTH CREATORS LIMITED now a days, so beware friends.

As complains solved one by one it is better register it quickly.

From my personal experience I think NSE tries their best if broker is active.
Once, I have an honest complain against MOTILAL OSWAL SECURITIES LTD in 2008. I threatened them by the name of NSE with all valid reasons. They refunded my money back within 3 days with apologizes.
That is prove that NSE takes actions (at least in some clear cases).

So try your best, complain as soon as possible. And tell your bad experience (with cheaters name) so that others can benefit.

Best Wishes.

Long time back, i was cheated by a company First Financial Holdings Ltd.
One day, they suddenly shut the shop. when clients asked for money, they try to convince clients by giving furnitures.
That owner paralley having Furniture business.
Suppose they have to return Rs50,000. they give furnitures worth 25,000rs and tell the clients its best product. (Price tag shows rs50,000 but outside market its worth Rs25,000)
Clients who doesnt agree for this, have been given a post dated cheque.
When clients complain this matter in Nse, nse people asked those clients to come to agreement with broker and not to contact nse.
This gave a big shock.
Because we went directly to nse office and posted complaint.
after 1 month. no one can contact those first financial holidings limited employees and owners.
Finally many lost their money.
Its a big joke that how far online complaints are getting solved.
Its official website of nse and they can put everything as solved.
who is their to raise question if they really solved it or not?
