Scalping NSE F&O difficult ?

Can NSE Nifty or Banknifty options be scalp-traded ? I would like to try scalping in option trades but unsure of whether it can work say over 200 or more trades a day.

Kindly guide me.

1) How old are you ?
2)Do you have prior scalping experience of making over 200 trades a day ?

We have an FnO market live for 375 minutes : From 9:15 to 3:30 i.e for trading 200+ trades in a day one must trade ONE trade every "less than 2 minutes" or around one trade every 112 seconds approximately. Its humanly possible to enter the trades but to get the Levels for these trades for a human like me are impossible.
Maybe you have to use Automated trading !

You can certainly scalp any scrip. Theoratical max # of trades in India would be approx 7500. (one pair of trade every 3 seconds) but this cannot be done manually, Exchange currently restricts trades to not be executed in frequencies of less than 1 sec, so 1st second is for entry, Second is a gap. 3rd is for exit.

Point obviously unanswered is what kind of money you'd make .... One thing is certain. If I was a broker, you'd be one of my best clients.

What is your goal? earning points or making so many trades? If we cannot make money by taking 20 trades in a day... most likely we won't make money with 200 trades also. Infact one may lose more money also Check pratap's vwap thread, you may get 10+ trades a day based on vwap.. you will make money... :thumb:

scalpers do hundreds of trades per day for small gains in equity segment, IMO scalping is not possible in options but may be possible in nifty futures.

2) I have done 10-15 trades a day, but not 200 trades as yet. So want to know if its possible at all with options before I try on those lines

My goal is to make small amounts in multiple trades and not be exposed to any market risk. I did not find anyone scalping in options so I asked if its possible

Why do you say scalping is not possible in options but may be in nifty futures?
